the dead don't care, they are dead? actually, they are in heaven right now, so of course they CARE!

the harder it is you me to be offended by others? judging by your tone, it seems you are very offended by what i wrote

i can't expect them to have the exact same values as me? so why are you so aggressive?

you stop judging what others do? well what are you doing in your response exactly?

I'm not being aggressive, and I'm not judging others. I'm sharing an opinion and being frank. It's my MO. You can do what you want. ;)

And the dead are in Sheol/Hades. Their level of consciousness is a matter of opinion based on what the bible says about it and one's interpretation of that. Apparently our opinions differ. ;)

You are reading way too much between the lines in my post. It's hard to glean an "attitude" from the written word. Only 20% of communication is the words. The rest is not possible to share here without smileys, so I use them when appropriate. :)

And then; there was the time the decedent almost failed to show up for the funeral.

I was all of 19, and had finished my fourth family limo run of the day, arriving back at the Mortuary Chapel just about 15 minutes before that last service to help the director, my immediate boss. Just a few minutes before the 3PM start time my boss said, "D. no one has come, you know the pastor, I'm leaving  it to you, if the family shows, meet them and run the funeral it ends right here as it will be followed by cremation. If no one shows you cue up pastor he will speak and you will attend." Yes sir.

Just four minutes before the funeral the family of six arrived. A man identified himself, said they were the only ones so please go ahead, but he hadn't seen Uncle Fred in several years. So I escorted him up to the casket where  in a flat monotone voice  I heard these words;

"I haven't seen uncle Fred in a long time;... but I know he didn't lose that much weight,.... in fact that's not him."

a while back i had someone from mine extended family passed on.

i definitely think that people has right to be offended by a close friends not attending a wedding unless they have a good reason and unable to attend.

First: What Ayin Jade said.

Second: I was on the receiving end of this sort of judgement from other family members.

I was in the Air Force at the time, and on a long leave visiting my younger bother in West Australia when our father passed away from a long illness so it was not unexpected. My brother and his wife had twins a few months before and had little spare cash. It was the mid 1980's and therefore in the age before cell phones and Skype. We didn't know he'd passed away until almost a three weeks later when at letter arrived from the US and I was due to board the train for Sydney and my flight home in 2 more days. I checked to see if I could get an earlier flight, but the logistics were against it. My sister called me long distance -- after she had spread the rumor that my brother and I didn't care and all that. We both missed the funeral, needless to say. There are a few family members who still will not speak to us because of that.

Snap judgements a bad idea because we can't possibly know another person's heart. Frankly, if someone doesn't (or can't) show up for a funeral its their business.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
