What have the cross costed me. Everything and nothing. I've given up so much and yet I feel like it's not enough. I've given up friends, family, bad habits and basically my self. But for what Christ gave up for me... what He saved me from... I could give up the universe if it was mine to give and yet that still wouldn't be enough. Christ is my rock. In a world so dark His light shows me the way. He is everything and without Him I am nothing, but with Him I am saved even from my self.

God Bless You

I had a few very close friends for many years whom I don't speak with at all anymore because I would try to witness to them.

And that is just the start.

But it is all worth it.

THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Taking up our cross is to crucify our flesh and live for Him and just as He was rejected, we should expect to be also. But, indeed, it is all worth it!

It is not always easy to crucify this flesh, but when, through Christ, I do, how sweet that little ol cross becomes!! I am no longer my own, but I was bought with a price, and my cost is to submit it all to Him, the One who carried the big cross in my place.

Thank You, Lord!

would you die for some one elses sin ??

Jesus looked down threw time and saw me and said yes I will die for her!!!!!

WHAT LOVE

anything I can do in return is nothing but to give my life to Him who died for me !!!!

Has it cost me oh yes redicule from friends who are no longer friends

Family who have turned back on me for the way I fell about the Word of God

Because of the Cross I don't have a craving for alcohol drugs permiscious sex (things that would and could have hurt me)

Because of the Cross I know that if I die tonight I will be with my Saviour so there is no fear in death

Because of the Cross I am free from satans grasp and safely in the Hands of my Lord

Has it cost me oh yes it has cost me a life of sin it has cost me a life of pain a cost I am oh so willing to pay

people ask me if if I know what I am missing by not drinking or going to sinfull places

and I say yes I know what I am missing I am missing dissapointing my Lord I am missing sins that could cost me a great deal in health I am missing the evils that come with a life of great sin

am I a sinner oh yes but now my sins are covered by the blood that was spilled on the Cross and I know that I am forgiven when I humbly repent to my Heavenly Father

The Cost is nothing com-pared to what the rewards are

The cost is nothing compared to eternity in hell

Oh what peace and Joy and Love was found at the Cross for me

The Lord sufferd and died for me anything I have is now HIS

even my very life

It has cost me many friends. Even friends who I thought were Christian who were unable to forgive me for things. It's almost cost me my husband because he ridicules me at every turn. This situation is still undecided as yet. I've reaped many rewards for following Christ with my cross as well, so I cannot complain even though there are times I would like to do so. :24:

For a while it looked like the Cross was going to cost me my marriage. But I held on to God's promise in 1 Peter 3:1&7 and I still do. A recent setback to my husband's health has brought him toward the Light. He made me a promise while he was sick, that ''If I ever get out of here (the hospital), I will go to church with you''. After praying over this, I decided not to hold him to it, since he made it in a moment of weakness, and that if he sincerely wanted to go to church, I wouldnt have to remind him or mention it at all. God is wonderful!! Week before last, my husband was trying on clothes that used to be too big for him, but that he can wear now because of a dramatic weight loss, and he came out with slacks and a sport jacket on ... I said ''Wow... you look good enough to go to church!'' ... He said ''I wondered when that would come up'' .... it was a very light and pleasant exchange, and nothing more was said. But that Sunday following, we were having breakfast and enjoying the morning... he said ''So, what time does this church of your start, anyway?'' .... And he went with me!!! The Lord is working in him and I ask you all to pray with me that my husbands heart will become less and less hardened until at last he becomes saved.

Dear friends, do not become discouraged when it seems that the people you love are rejecting you because of what you believe. You never know when they will have a life crisis in which you may minister to them. Even if you arent actually staying in touch with some of these people, do keep up with what is happening with them. A phone call, personal visit or a card '' I know things are difficult right now, I would like to pray for you'' ... to let them know that you care. In family situations, in the workplace, in social settings let the light of the Lord shine through to these people ... not a spotlight that produces blinding glare and harsh shadows, but a gentle glow that will attract them to you.

I know that 1 Peter 3:1&7 was written specifically to wives, but the application is appropriate to all situations where a believer wishes to display God's grace "In the same way you wives (you believers) be submissive to your own husbands (others), so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word, by the behavior of their wives (friends). ''

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

To follow Jesus means to hear his voice and to obey him in doing what he says. He has gifted all of us in different ways. A person with a gift of hospitality is most likely to be liked. A person with the gift of mercy or the gift of service is most likely to be admired. But, then there are those gifts that are not so popular like prophecy, knowledge, discernment of spirits, exhortation, etc. These are gifts that often require the gifted person to confront others with a message from God. Sometimes the message is one of the nice kind of encouragement, and sometimes it is a strong encouragement or even a rebuke or a correction due to a discernment of spirits, etc. God told Jeremiah that he was to go to whomever he sent him to and he was to say whatever God told him to say and he was not to be afraid because God would put his words in his mouth. This has been God's calling upon my life since I was very young and God has asked me even more lately to say some things that were very difficult to say and that I knew would get me rejected. But, I had to obey God. Now that does not mean that everything I say is from God, so sometimes just my own stupidity gets me rejected. But, to answer the question, the cross has cost me relationships with people, because people with confrontational gifts do not make many friends.

merylin Hicky distroyed a boys life with a word of prophecy that was not true so how do we know what is true and what is not........Wait till we see if it comes true or does not and if it does not then that person is not a prophet..........

I think there are very few people with a true gift of prophecy you may be one and God bless if you are.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
