So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving? I should hope not! If we’ve left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there? Or didn’t you realize we packed up and left there for good? That is what happened in baptism. When we went under the water, we left the old country of sin behind; when we came up out of the water, we entered into the new country of grace—a new life in a new land!

That’s what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we’re going in our new grace-sovereign country.

Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer at sin’s every beck and call! What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word. When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us.

From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That’s what Jesus did. That means you must not give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives. Don’t give it the time of day. Don’t even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time—remember, you’ve been raised from the dead!—into God’s way of doing things. Sin can’t tell you how to live. After all, you’re not living under that old tyranny any longer. You’re living in the freedom of God.

Amazing God!

Now for the graver version .      LET ALL WHO NAME the NAME OF CHRIST DEPART FROM INQUITY .

And THOSE who are CHRISTS have CRUCIFIED the affections and lusts of the flesh .

Do you not know that you are servants TO WHOM you OBEY ,  whether of sin unto DEATH or of OBEDIANCE unto Righteousness .

Let not these things even ONCE be named among you as becometh saints .

God is not mocked , for what so ever a man does sow , that he will reap .    Of the flesh corrupotion , but of the spirit LIFE EVERLASTING .

GOD will not be mocked        AND CHRIST is no minister of sin .

WE must get serious again .   do all to build the body up .   Do all to correct error and fast .    Do all to POINT to CHRIST .

A massive false awakening has began ,  and if we are not awake to the TRUE LIFE , THE TRUE MAN reborn and arisen in CHRIST , we gonna fall under its delusion .

The false awakening will focus on a false sensual love ,  it will not focus ON JESUS ONLY SAVES and it will not focus on correction .

it will focus on unity with other religions and faiths , JUST FOR the sake OF UNITY .   IT will cry peace , peace , BUT ALL WHO DO ENTER

will not see the PEACE of GOD , but the WRATH OF GOD .    its a sensual IMITATOR of the TRUE and its sucking folks in .    WE must

focus on HOLY LIVING , WE MUST focus on correction for edification of the body .

It's a good post.

Can help people, who want JESUS to be part of their lives.

It's a good encouraging word.

I don't know why you have to bring in the water baptism,

Paul even thought he was baptized himself, he stayed away from the water.

He taught the believers to reprogram their consiense, because that what people know to follow their consiense, and that what John the Baptist was telling people, if you were used stealing, (and did not bother you), don't steal anymore, but develop the new concience as to kick in and bother you,

That's what people understand and they think is the Holy Spirit.

When they sin and have Judged themselves as lost and going to Hell, and quickly repent, and ask forgiveness, then they learn to see others who have sin, even thought believers as going to Hell,

Because it was their fears they had follow and their trouble consiense and they thought it was the Holy Spirit. They need to get the truth that sin cannot sent them to Hell.

Not when we have Jesus as a Redeemer.

Jesus as we have see some times have bother the disciples consiense, and they too they thought at times that it was the devil who had done this to them, sometimes more to those from the outside looking into other people situations.

Jesus cannot sent anyone who believes in him to Hell because of sin, unless he sins himself, and go to Hell together.

Look at these verses.

1 John chapter 1 verse 8

If anyone claims to be without sin the deceive themselves and the truth is not in them.

James chapter 2 verse 10

If anyone keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point their guilty of breaking all of it.

Ephesians chapter 2 verses 14-19
For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two. thus making peace and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently , you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household.

Brother, this post was not my words, but simply Romans 6 quoted from The Message Bible.

Some people will take issue with quoting from this because it is not a true translation, and if we are doing deep study, I certainly agree. I personally like using the KJV fro that.

But I have discovered, as in the verses I quoted out of Romans 6, that sometimes the author has a way of stating things in a new way  that sheds new light on the overall intent of what is being written.

As to if a man can stop sinning, I agree, it is impossible. However, this is due to our fallen natures, our human condition. But praise God, we are told in the word that our God can and will keep us from falling  and actually cause us to walk obediently. He equips is with shields of faith that He promises us will quench ALL the fiery darts of the enemy, amen? He assures is that no matter the temptation, He will make sure it is not greater than we can bear, and will, with every temptation, make a way of escape for us. Now, if we do not hold up that shield, and if we do not take that way of escape, this is a different situation sltogether.

These are the actions of our old carnal nature, and it is for this reason we are told to put it off by an act of  reckoning faith, and to put on our new man, that can.... and WILL..... resist Satan steadfast in the faith.

Blessings,

Gideon

P.S. As to the verse quoted in 1 John 1:8, if you read it in context, it is simply stating that if a man basically says, “I have not sinned so I have no need for forgiveness”, that man lies.  How do we know this to be true? Just look at the beginning of chapter 2. He tells us that he is writing these things so that we “sin not”. So, if we find we are obeying this by the grace of God working inside us, we are now deceived?? That makes no sense at all.

Actually brother, you did not quote the Bible correctly in a statement you made. You said  “And THOSE who are CHRISTS have CRUCIFIED the affections and lusts of the flesh”.

But that is not what our Bibles tell us. They tell us that “we have crucified the flesh, with the affections and lusts thereof.”

It may seem a minor point at first glance, but it is not. In the instance you quoted, the task before us is to crucify the affections and lusts of our fleshly nature. . It is akin to knocking bad fruit off our tree. But what happens when we try that? New bad fruit replaces it. Amen? We need a new orchard! :)

No, we are told our job is to lay the ax to the root of the tree. Our job is to make our tree good. We are not tasked with spending our entire walks battling against our fleshly lusts. It will be an unwinnable battle, for even for those who think that they have done so, religious pride replaces baser sins, and it is a much more devious and difficult sin to rid oneself of.

But praise God, when we obey the command to reckon ourselves dead indeed to sin, and to “put off” the flesh and along with it, the affections and lusts which are attached, to our amazement, we find the battle is winnable, because it has already been won on the cross!

Brother, I love your zeal, but I pray you understand, telling people to stop sinning will not work..... unless you tell them HOW to do so. Why do you think the church, by and large, has laid the entire concept of holiness aside? Is it not because they have tried to defeat the sins that so easily beset them, they have tried to die to self, but self will never crucify self. Most sins, the real problem ones, cannot be defeated head-on, at least with any real joy. And white knuckle Christianity is void of joy, and strugglers will fall left and right.

So what to do? Do we simply lower the standard that “without holiness, no man shall see the Lord”, and accept the lie that we are only sinners saved by grace, which means that since holiness is an impossibility, then don’t sweat it? Why has this dangerous mindset taken root in our churches? Because no one has shown the sheep the way to actually get free from the grip of self.... and the sin that trails along after it.

This awakening that I share, this awakening you have such a fear about, is not what you think. Who will respond to this message? Those who hate their continued sin, who hate their continued failure to gain victory over self, and brother, we both know that the Emergant church and the Ken Copeland’s of the world are not interested in that agenda, lol.

Rather, it is those who long for more of Jesus, who admit they need a deliverer to extricate them out of Romans 7 and plant them firmly and forever in Romans 8, these are the blessed souls who will awaken to righteousness and sin not. And why? Because they will have finally made their testimony match that of their Heavenly Father, and believe that the old them died when Christ died.

We are told that in the last days, the saints will overcome Satan in their lives by the blood of the Lamb AND the word of their testimony! Glory to God, it is when we finally yield ourselves completely to God as those who are alive from the dead that we discover our eagles wings that will cause us to rise above sin, and escape its grip, simply because we have finally come into agreement with Our God that we really are dead, and our life is hid with God in Christ.

I believe all we need to do is help people, when we can, that's righteousness.

I have no disagreement with the scripture at all. But what many are not yet seeing, is that if Christ is in us, and we no longer live, can He or can He not defeat the sins that defeated us our whole lives?

What do we know about the law? It is the strength of sin’s hold on us, amen? How do we get free from the grip of the law! Death is the only way. And what happens when we finally reckon ourselves dead to sin and put off our old man by faith? His death has become our death, and now, as new creatures, we discover that God can and will cause us to will AND to do of His good pleasure.

What you stated is a nice thought as to righteousness, but it is far more than that... doing good when we can. That is OUR righteousness, not His. He want to so fill us and so mold us that we do not even resemble what we once were. This is no make-over we are talking about but a complete cutting of of the fleshly nature and a grafting us into God’s nature.

If what you say were true, then all of His promises that tell us we can walk with the world, the flesh and the devil under our feet are worthless except for the one promising us Heaven when our physical body dies. But He wants us to gain the victory over the world, the flesh and the devil NOW, in this life! He wants to make us overcomers, and stop being hanger-oners.

We as His people are about to discover how deep the power of grace really flows and it will  blow our minds. The only thing He is waiting for is for us to admit that we need Him in us to truly live and walk as children of God.

Blessings,

Gideon

Romans 6:2 (NASB)
~~~~~~~~~~ How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
I have thought that this message in Romans 6 will only be understood by those that see the necessity of such a message inside themselves. For the message is so profound that only those that are willing to literally die, rather than sin, can be made to understand it. For a total death to self is being called for. But until the need is raised in the heart, the words will only remain words. Blessing to you for trying.
Much love in Christ, Not me
    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.
      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.
      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.
      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.
      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”
    • Understanding the Enemy!
      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!
      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.
      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,
      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.
      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!
    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,
      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.
      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
