CFS, what is going on in my life would take eight pages, lol. Spring is such a hard time. My second son is home from college, but works nights. My two youngest have three ball teams between them, and cheerleading practice, youth group activites too. I work part time four hours every day, get home, get dinner, and start the running to various ball games and practices and don't get home till after 8:00. That leaves little time for all the regular work of running a household - cleaning, laundry, yard work (2 acres of grass to keep cut) and all the usual maintenance. . (My husband drives a truck and is gone all week, so I've learned how to fix and mainain just about anything). I almost had a panic attack the other day and it was scary. I am so stressed out that I would sit down and just bawl if I had time. Oh, and my oldest son (who is in the service too, ) is getting married in July (far away) and that is causing me stress, financial and otherwise. My husband called a little while ago and his truck broke down and he is sitting in a motel, maybe for two days. Truck drivers who sit still don't make any money. Sigh. Sorry to whine! Are you sorry you asked? :o

Bless your son. May God keep him safe while he is serving our country. My son is stateside right now, that's a blessing. Thank your son for me. :)

Off to clean the bathrooms before bed and it starts all over again in the morning...........lol.............

Dear 'Work in PRogress'

I read your reply to 'what's going on' in your life. I feel compelled to pray for you and let you know that you are in my prayers. I pray that God will continue to

nurish you and give the much-needed strength required to run your household.

I pray also for your family, who are all so very busy and often so far from you.

I pray that God's angels protects them at all times.

I must say that you sound like an amazing mother and woman. To keep up with chores, work, and take care of the family needs...I know there is no time left for you.

I must say that in many ways your story sounds almost like mine!!!

I work part-time as well, have 3 children, and hubby works in neighboring city

(comes home >8:00 pm ---then crashes on couch till 5:30 am...and leaves)

I too feel like I do nothing but wash laundry, run errands, drive kids around, buy groceries, and clean house, yard, car, etc etc etc.

I wish you all the best---I truly do.. Perhaps now that number one son is home from college, you can delegate the car/yard work to him (?).

Try to ask the kids to 'clean the bathrooms 2x/week for you (?) I'm sure that if you give them a little nudge--they would do it for you...They love you remember?

!!!!

In regards to dealing with the stress. I will be praying for you daily. I know that what you need to do is really know that God is with you during these hard days.

To help you cope, you are doing the right thing==talking to people about it.

--Perhaps you deserve to let the kids make their own supper one night, and you go out for soup and pie with a friend//to talk and share...its so important for you to have a little time for yourself. At the very least, make yourself a 'bubbly bath with candles' to relax in at night.

---maybe at work, during lunch break go for a walk to work of stress?

take good care, sister in Christ

Wow....your lives are so much more interesting than mine *grin* Definitely praying for all of you!

If you want to know what's going on in my life, you can check out my blog at www.xanga.com/iryssa

It's very random some days *grin* I do try to update regularly, though, so whenever you're curious or just plain bored, just stop by!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I have a blog too... mine is at http://escapeplanofdarkestred.blogspot.com/

I'm keeping it pretty up to date at the moment.

Otherwise the only things that are going on in my life are... work, college, visiting my boyfriend and my boyfriend visiting me and, of course, church. I've recently been put in charge of the Church noticeboard so that's my big project at the moment... it's been the same for years so no one pays attention it any more... that is going to change now I'm in charge though! (I lead an exciting life, huh? )

WIP,

I empathise with you. I have four children, all grown now, but I had my days just like you describe. They were wonderful years, but I'm glad to be at the stage in life where I am at present.

My oldest son served in the army four years, then went to college another six years, and then got married and bought a house up the street from us. His company just sold out to another company, so they all lost their jobs but were rehired, only he took a $5/hr cut in pay - ouch! This is a young couple living on a tight budget, so they are trying hard to make ends meet until he can find another job that pays better. He has a college degree, so that should help.

Our daughter, next in age, is 28 and still single. She works two part-time jobs, has a degree in Music Education and is going to try to get a teaching job for this fall. She wasn't sure if she wanted to teach. She traveled for three years doing ministry and then moved back home. Now she is sharing an apartment with our youngest son's wife (our newest daughter-in-law). They are both looking for summer jobs and a new apartment, because the one they are in is very old and gets really frigid in the winter time.

Our middle son, age 26, is married and has 3 girls, ages 3, 5, & 6. We love to spend time with our granddaughters. It's nice being a grandparent, because at the end of the day you can send them home to their parents. :24:

You already know about our youngest son. All our children, grandchildren and daughters-in-law live within five miles of our home, with exception of Steven who is in Iraq.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
