Is He knocking on the door of a movie theater? Is He knocking on the door of an abortion factory? Is He knocking on the door of a bar? Is He knocking on the door of a pool hall? Is He knocking on the door of a strip club? Is He knocking on the door of a school house? Is He knocking on the door of a gambling joint? Is He knocking on the door of Congress? Is He knocking on the door of any Hellywood god? What door is He knocking on? What is He trying to get into? I are befuddled between confusion and stupid pit. Help me out please. You need to read the whole chapter to understand, just quoting one verse always leads to missunderstanding. In v 14 a letter to Laodicer is started, they are lukewarm in there faith, Jesus is knocking on their door to come in and restore their faith. Many churches are luke warm. They are not on fire for God. They aren't atheistic and opposed to God. They are sort of happy with a Sunday ritual and go through the motions. "They honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me" is the verse that comes to mind. So Christ has been kicked out of the church. They no longer trust in Him or trust in His word. They may even do good works like helping people displaced by natural disasters. But He stands at the door of the church knocking to come back in. This verse has also been applied to individuals, since we as individuals make up the church, and revival begins with a single person. 2Ti 3:1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2Ti 3:2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 2Ti 3:3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 2Ti 3:4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 2Ti 3:5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. The power being spoken of here is the power to do God's will as given by the Holy Spirit. These so called Christians deny the work of the Holy Spirit, so they have in effect kicked God out of the church. He comes first to convict of sin, righteousness and judgement. He calls people to return to Him in repentance of sin and turning to Christ for forgiveness. He draws us to read and apply the Scriptures, enabling us to understand them. Genuine Christians love and trust in God's word. They Have Christ residing in them. 2Ch 7:14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Keith Green – Asleep In The Light Lyrics Do you see, do you see All the people sinking down Don't you care, don't you care Are you gonna let them drown How can you be do numb Not to care if they come You close your eyes And pretend the job's done "oh bless me lore, bless me lord" You know it's all I ever hear No one aches, no one hurts No one even sheds one tear But he cries, he weeps, he bleeds And he cares for you needs And you just lay back And keep soaking it in Oh can't you see it's such a sin 'cause he brings people to you door And you turn them away As you smile and say "god bless you, be at peace" And all heaven just weeps 'cause jesus came to you door You've left him out on the streets Open up open up And give yourself away You see the need, you hear the cries So how can you delay God's calling and you're the one But like jonah you run He's told you to speak But you keep holding it in Of can't you see it's such a sin The world is sleeping in the dark That the church just can't fight 'cause it's asleep in the light How can you be so dead When you've been so well fed Jesus rose from the grave And you, you can't even get out of bed Oh, jesus rose from the dead Come on get out of your bed How can you be so numb Not to care if they come You close your eyes And pretend the job's done You close your eyes And pretend the job's done Don't close your eyes Don't pretend the jobs done "come away, come away, come away with me my love Come away, come away, come away with me my love" Songwriters: KEITH GORDON GREEN Asleep In The Light lyrics © Universal Music Publishing Group, CAPITOL CHRISTIAN MUSIC GROUP 1

We can't be bigoted toward churches but each will be judged by God individually. And all are invited to return to God--all people and all congregations. We need to pray for them and never condemn.
