I would say that you need to follow your heart. Believe in the LORD and be the best christian you can. Some will quote scriptures from the bible that state that it is wrong, but if you love the person you are with, that is the LORD.

The LORD will understand. Do not let anyone put you down for what you know in your heart to be true.

Bless you for being so brave.

As a straight male I will confess that my straight sins are not any better than gay sins. I don't know about the" follow your heart " thing though.

"The heart of man is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: Jer. 17:9.

I pray daily that God changes alot of things in my heart. Its true that most gay folks are "good" people from a human standpoint. (at least mine) Only thing is......we aren't gonna face a human on judgement day.

I will pray that WE all learn to follow God's heart instead of our own. The Bible is the window to God's heart. Just be willing to go with his and ask him to give you the desire and power to do so. Thats all we can really do. Same for me.

God Bless

Dan

I don't believe in bi-sexuality, myself, that is. Either you are straight or gay. Being a homosexual, or bi-sexual, if you draw lines, is ungodly. Giving yourself over to lust after those of the same gender is specifically forbidden by God. If you really want to love God and do his will, you need to get right and get away from living or lusting in that lifestyle. A sin committed by any other name is still a sin.

One of my dearest friends used to be bi. He isn't any more. Why? Because he got saved and became a new creature in Christ Jesus. As 1 Cor 6:11 says:

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

The verb there is were - through Jesus, through the sacrifice HE made willingly on the cross, giving HIS life for love of us all - there is freedom from every kind of sin. HE makes us new in HIM. We are no longer what we were.

My friend is new in Jesus; he no longer worships sex. I am new in Jesus also; I no longer worship my own (stinking before GOD) righteousness in keeping all 'the rules' in my own pride and strength.

Just wanting to encourage you, that you can be new as well.

(Oh, and I want to agree with dgolvach - ALL sin is sin, and NO sin is better or more acceptable than any other.)

Today too many people call themselves christians and live lifestyles that arent Christ-like. Sin the very name of it is being watered down People tend to lower the standards God never intended. To say we are born with this trait or that trait isnt really far from the truth. WE ARE ALL BORN SINNERS we all need a Savior at the end of our lives the most important thing is to stand before A Righteous and Holy God and defend our actions and try to reason with Him because someone said something was alright to do. Each one of us will stand before God and give an account of our lives. God offers grace to the humble and to the proud and haughty spirit He has the law. many people have an early childhood salvation experience or think they have whats important though is God knows your heart and He knows your condition in the end the only one you will have to answer to is God not me nor anyone in these forums God will hold you accountable for your actions and what you do with the Christ read your Bible it will direct you In His Service TEN COMMANDMENTS

You sound young and confused. If you were born a few generations ago, there would be no question as to what is acceptable and which is not. Today the lines have been blurred and it makes it hard for those who are looking for solid answers to see the line. You have experimented with your sexuallity and now are here wanting to know if it has destroyed your life. No... it is a sin to be repented of. Destruction comes to those who do not repent of their wickedness. Will the devil use the experience to hound you and try to get you to believe the lie. Absolutely... IT is like any other sin,... they will come back to haunt you. God has forgiven you, and you are to sin no more. You have chosen to follow Jesus, do so and look not back at the sins of the world that you did participate in but forward to the life in Christ.

Great topic.

I feel that it is a sin to be homosexual/bi-sexual.

I was living with my ex-fiance and his family. His mom is a lesbian and married to another woman (which I find confussing becuae in God's eyes you cannot do this). They even attend a Chrisitan Chruch that caters to gay/lesbian lifestyle. :emot-rolleyes:

The preacher says that "Sexual Immorality" is fornication and sex with objects, animals, etc (yes he was that blunt). The whole sermon was very confussing. :emot-eyes: So that is part of the reason why I broke up with my ex-fiance. He had a lot of past issues as well.

LPark, are you a Christian? If so, what does the bible say about it? Does the bible endorse bisexuality or homosexuality?

No it doesnt. Since the bible in fact condemns that as a sin, why would you welcome a sinful lifestyle?

It's a sin, no matter what you may want to call it. Bi- or gay, it's all a sin. In reality either you're gay or straight. It's that simple, just like God's Word. It's black or white, no gray area.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
