The Body

I take care of this little lady that is 91 years old and is waiting to go be with the Lord. She is unable to get out of bed. She only has 10 percent use of her heart and has frequent attacks where she can't breathe and we have thought many times that she would not make it through the night. Today she has had a bad day. This morning she was ok at first and I read her devotions and Bible readings and all she wanted to do after that was sleep.

All of a sudden she wanted to sit on the side of the bed so I helped her get up to sit which is hard for her. I had to hold her up. She told me to let go so she could try to sit there herself. Well she did and she preached the most awesome sermon to me. It went like this:

"Teresa do you know what my greatest worry is?" I asked her, "What?" and she said," I have been laying here thinking about the world. Here I am not able to move at times or get up. Sometimes I can't even see or lift my hand. All this was from one part of my body having an attack. My heart. I have been thinking about the "Body of Christ" I don't understand how one part of my body can affect so many other functions in my body. Like the Body of Christ.

When a part has an attack and is shaken it affects the whole body but what really worries me is the way the world ignores the way Jesus died and works so hard to build the body and keep it going and even parts of the body will not help each other. The world is under attack by the enemy and the "Body of Christ" is so busy trying to build themselves up and getting so caught up in how they feel that they are not able to fight against and stop these vicious attacks. There is so many in the Body that can't function because of an attack that affects even the listening to the Lord and what are we doing to help? What souls are dying and going to hell while the body is so busy trying to stay out of the way of the darts of the enemy.

In my body is a battle this one is also physical I can't function properly because my heart doesn't work like it use to. It is worn out from the attacks it has had. How many Christians are worn out from attacks they have had and now are unable to function, as God wants them too.

I am concerned for the Body of Christ. It seems everywhere I look I see the wounded in battle and I see the soldiers in the Lord's army getting fewer and fewer as they start to run and hide from the battle. The saddest part are the one's that try to just fend for themselves and refuse to help a wounded soldier. I am wounded in my physical body but I AM A SOLDIER OF CHRIST AND HIS SPIRIT IN ME IS STRONG. I AM STRONG IN SPIRIT.

Soon I will be with the Lord forever and ever but what will happen to the lost and dying in the world if the soldiers for Christ become smaller and weaker all the time? Who will reach the lost? How many are waiting for their neighbor or pastor to do it while they relax and try to stay out of the war zone? I am grieved over this. I pray, even on my deathbed for the Body of Christ. We are all ONE BODY and can't function properly with a part wounded.

Oh Teresa, get the message out. Time is short. Jesus is coming soon! Will he find faith in His Body? Or a bunch of scared wimps in Christ? What will you choose to be? Don't miss an opportunity to witness or help the wounded. Remember this is not our battle but the Lord's and we ARE ALL ONE BODY! WE need each other to function. To bring in the souls. That is my greatest worry.

I pray for you and all the body for that is all I can do now. But it is the most powerful weapon we have. Don't ever forget the power of prayer! This may be my last words to ever speak here on this earth and what I want to tell you is stay close to God...Get in front of the battle. Do whatever you have to that will keep the Body in unity as God wants. Do not fear just stand and fight the good fight of faith. And be ready when your time comes to hear the Lord say<"Come in my good and faithful servant." And His smile will say that he is satisfied with me"

I was amazed at how God spoke this message through her. On her deathbed her biggest worry is for the Body of Christ. This is a lesson we all need to learn. I have learned so much just from being blessed to take care of and serve this woman of God. The rest of the day after this message she was so weak all she could do was sleep and not even eat or hardly drink.

Let us all take heed to God's words through her. What are we really doing? Are we gathering in souls? Are we in the front lines of the battle? Or are we hiding in the background? Are we watching for brothers and sisters in Christ that are wounded and need our help? This little lady has such a love for God and His body as we should all have. Let's not take for granted our blessings the very breath we breathe. This lady, many times has none...
