New bible, makes me ill

WhySoBlind is right...this is nothing new.  I did a little search on this concept.  I found some interesting things...sickening but interesting to know just who believes in this....I found this prayer...I won't quote the whole thing just some pertinant lines:

Dear Mother and Father God,

I ask for protection by the love from Father and Mother God that the Holy Spirit, each day will descend upon me.

If I am carrying any malady let it be released now in the white light of the Holy Spirit that surrounds me.

I as this in the Name of the Father, Mother, Holy Spirit, and Son.

Now this prayer also mentioned another "deity" I guess you could call it...but I haven't had time to do a search on that paticular one yet. When I do maybe I will post it here

This is NOTHING new. Nature is called "Mother" even by so-called atheists, and many forms of wicca and also other mysticisim worships a female nature goddess, or has some form of worship of the womb itself. Sumeria, called "Queen of Heaven" in the Bible, was worshipped as a goddess, which is where Maryolatry comes from. Using the term "Mother nature" to describe disasters and such is blasphemy, attributing intelligence, power, and personality to nature itself.

There is no "Mother Nature", there is only "Father God".

P.S. America and western civilization is suffering from Solomon Syndrome. That is "You have your God, I have mine...Can't we all get along?" The Biblical answer its "NO," but America's answer is "Yes. Come on in pagans, we love your gods and goddesses. We'll even give up ours, and pay for your religions to get started here..."

P.P.S. Read Ezekiel 16 and 17, and replace "Israel" with "America". Can't tell the difference, can you??

Pretty pointless. I find it quite funny how it's still Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Can't imagine what market they're appealing to.

I was merely comparing Israel's sin to America's sin. Not making any claim regarding a special national calliong or something like that. I don't see what your point is, other than to create some sort of confusion on this thread..

Well this is what happens when we compromise the Word of GOD.We have had tons of new translations.It's like a trend anymore.Every group that claims to be Christian wants a Bible for themselves and the world has complied.This is the reason I'm a King James "onlyist" Bible reader . When is enough enough?

I didn't intend to cause confusion; I honestly thought it was a joke. I couldn't see why, after making a comment about what you call "Solomon Syndrome" you'd make a serious comparison such as that. If it's looked at on it's own, exclusively as a point about sins mentioned in those chapters in Ezekiel, I can see that it works as a serious point. I have to say, it was hilarious at the time.

The reason there are lots of new translations is that the language is so different, and often can be misunderstood, or meanings can be lost in translation. If your serious about looking at the Bible without anyone putting a personal mark upon it through tanslation, then I would suggest learning ancient Hebrew and ancient Greek fluently. Apparently a lot of it rhymes and is in meter and things, which is pretty cool.

While I realize that Catholics don't worship Mary, there is a segment that wants to elevate Mary to co-redemptress; the thought behind this is the same one behind this new PERversion!
