Israel is not surrounded by Catholics; they are surrounded  by Muslims. 

Imho the 1st beast is called shepherd and shall be well versed in Bible but the 2nd beast will bring Arab religion and antichrist will empower the 2nd beast to rule the world.

Zechariah 11:16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land (Israel), which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.

He could very well be the last pope but I'd say he's far from converting all of Islam to become catholic. 

I just don't think he can do it.

the only difficulty I see is trying to prove this verse is really pointing to the Beast. The Commentaries were of no help.

No Arab can make fire come down from heaven buddy. If you want to see who can do that, you need to look alittle closer to home.

How many people have you seen make fire come down from heaven by power given to them from the devil? 

Do you believe the devil is in heaven and therefore can make fire go down from there like God has in the past?

Rev 13 doesn't say Satan gives power to the second beast with two horns like a lamb. 

Arabs can't do it like we can. Sadam learned the hard way that the people who control the heavens can control the ground. You just blow up the things on the earth that you need to.
