The blood of Christ being offered to God through the eternal Spirit of Christ, is spotless enough to enlighten our conscience away from dead works, to serve the living God. I think everyone knows what dead works are...

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

We are saved by faith, that same faith that was promised to Abraham by God. It is appropriately the same place the dead works began to be testified about ending. Abraham and Sarah we see were dead, in body, like dead to flesh, and that was the beginning of life for Isaac and pointing towards the life coming through Christ and by death also..

Hebrews 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:

It is the faith that sets us free from sin, just as Abraham it was testified was dead, this was when life came. Then Christ dies in the flesh to gift us with life, in His same way, of being dead to be freed from sin, and even dead with Christ, to live with Him. Death had no more dominion over Christ, and we are to believe in being dead indeed to sin, as we are dead held in the law where there is sin and no deliverance from it's dominion, but now being dead to sins, we also are dead with Christ, and cannot live with Him unless as dead as He was, and this is all by faith, and it is not something we can maybe be, be partially, be sometimes, or ask forgiveness for when we are alive to sins again, and not dead with Christ to be alive with Him, all of those thoughts are wishful thinking, as when we are dead to sins, this is to be alive, and alive to righteousness. To be in Christ is to be dead with Him and to die in the Lord, and these ones have their works following them.

Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Romans 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Romans 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

2 Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Sin reigned to death, and if anybody mentions grace, then we know grace reigns through righteousness, it does not reign through lasciviousness. There is obedience unto righteousness. The end of the disobedience is death. Apostle Paul confirms the same for everybody to realise, the commandment of the law was ordained to be unto death. But the law of the Spirit of life in Christ makes us free from the law of sin and death. Mortifying the deeds of the body, made dead by the Spirit, makes us live.The strength of sin is the law, when people misunderstand that sin has power any more, and that they cant do what they would do, how then has sin any strength any more when we are FREE from the law of sin and death through Christ in us ?

Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Romans 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

Romans 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

Now to knowing Christ, when we are made the same as His death, in His sufferings, and the power of the resurrection unto life through the Gospel, and no more subject to bondage of the law of sin and death, as delivered from that now, redeemed from the transgressions under the first testament, and that by means of DEATH, put to death in the flesh, and together with Him we quicken through the Spirit, as He died unto sin once, and this is living unto God, when we die the same way ONCE. After this, we know no man after the flesh, not even Christ..

Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Hebrews 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Hebrews 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Romans 6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Now to be passed from death to life, is when we have God in us loving everyone who God loves, and when in Adam all die, and when in Christ made alive. The earthly ways are not the Lords Heavenly ways of the second man, and the body has to die first to sin and dead with Christ, to be quickened, or our body truly dies forever if our works are not found in Gods perfect description. This is the resurrection from the dead, and the being born again to see the Kingdom of Heaven to be within us, without corruptible seed, but by the word of God, which along with Him, makes us live and abide forever..

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

Revelation 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

As told, some are dead in the wrong sense, because they are alive in this life in sins, and not dead in Christ which is dead to sin. The confirmation are the works, no fruits. They have a name that they are living, but again their works show differently. False deceitful workers, even as satan transformed into the seeming angel of light, and his ministers as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be death, according to them still in the dead works. Continuance in well doing obeying the truth, it is everything that is life, obeying unrighteousness and doing evil is wrath and death, they are the dead works, what else can the outcome be ..

Jude 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

Thanks, I just observed what people say, and remember the scriptures, what they say, and use the bible search with a keyword or two, and everything becomes clearer and clearer, and try to tell the word faithfully..

Jeremiah 23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord.

Jude 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

Gordon, sorry I have to agree.   I wonder if it is possible for you to divide a long post up?   Would be easier for us older ones to read anyhow. :heart:

The blood of Christ being offered to God through the eternal Spirit of Christ, is spotless enough to enlighten our conscience away from dead works, to serve the living God. I think everyone knows what dead works are...

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

We are saved by faith, that same faith that was promised to Abraham by God.

Is there a psg in the Bible that uses the term "dead works"? I don't recall those exact words in my Bible

But Jesus did  tell us and other persons/books in the Bible tell us that we are judged "according to our deeds" so I hope you do not mean that good works are "dead works" that we should avoid??

some denoms teach that

some denoms teach that

Demons teach nothing, they fear God and tremble. God sends the strong delusion so they believe in a lie.

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Isaiah 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-13 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness

Of course though, I do not mean dead works to be our works, as dead works are works of sin, and living works are works of righteousness. Dead works through evil in us do no good, and will vanish, this is why people living in them are living in nothingness, in vanity. But to have Christ in our conscience now, means we serve life, love, care for and cherish the life that is in the ones so precious to God and to us, and that is just what dead is, everything that is unaware of God being the life and the reason to not pay attention to anything else.

This was the vanity of the mind with the devil..

Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Before it was the dead works, now it is the living ones, our body a living sacrifice, a new living way, turned from dead idols to serve the living and true God, and covetting is idolatry too and very dead..

Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Hebrews 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

1 Thessalonians 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

ok, that was a lot of scripture reading. I have read the whole Bible. It is always good to read it again and again, but.. I find it simpler to quote one or 2 psgs in reference to.. whatever point one is trying to make. I get overwhelmed when there is too much to read. I find myself wanting to comment on one thing, only to keep reading and FORGET my comment..

in any case, demons teach nothing? Well, they are not known for being "teachers" but all beings "teach" something if there is someone to listen to them. And plenty of people are listening to demons. The world would not be as evil and pathetic as it is if that were not so

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
