I had asked them if chocolate was a sin trying to prove a point that caffeine isnt that bad. i had to shut my mouth when i concluded, to some it is. Sorry,I can’t see that drinking coffee or tea is a sin, anything that you put above God is sin.

They will usually not admit that they are addicting but that is wrong as well. It is that caffeine is a more socially acceptable drug.Just tell someone to stop consuming their caffeine and then ask them what happened Caffeine- Stimulant Nicotine- Stimulant and a depressant Alcohol- Depressant Edited July 21, 2019 by missmuffet 1

Is it because the body is a Temple for the HS to dwell. Is that it? Other? Thanks Yes, consuming any one of the three drugs is a sin because the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Everyone is a sinner that’s why Jesus came. I’m going to quit this sin because it bothers people around me. Just because I quit this one doesn’t mean I’m sinless. I’ve got many I think ☹️ Good for you. It is good if a person has never started in the first place.

"All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any." - 1 Cor 6:12 I think Paul explained all that pretty well. There are things that the Bible does not mention, like caffeine and nicotine, but alcohol is mentioned - but not condemned. Drunkenness is roundly condemned. Whether caffeine and nicotine are sin or not is between the individual and God - if He wants someone to stop, they'll stop. I'm not the Holy Spirit (that position has been filled for some time, I hear,) so I'll leave all that in His capable hands. 2
