The race is getting narrower, and we're getting closer and closer to seeing which candidate will face Trump in 2020.

For those of you who watched the debate, who do you think won?

Personally, I think Klochubar and Buttigieg did the best jobs, with Yang and Biden coming right behind them. I think Warren overtook Sanders, and everyone left Gabbard, Steyer, and Harris in the dust. Looks like Beto also hit a rough patch.

What are your thoughts?

I caught the last hour and a half on Heavy.com since I don't have cable.   Although I'm a Republican, I like Yang out of all of them.   Something different....a businessman like Trump and maybe he would bring something new to politics in DC.

I've noticed a decent amount of bipartisan support for Yang. I do find him to be an odd candidate, especially with his focus on automation and UBI. He doesn't seem to really line up with most of the other candidates for the Democratic Party, it'll be interesting to see how he continues.

Yang wants to legalize heroin. He wants to give everyone 1000 dollars. He is unrealistic.

Buttiegig (I cant recall the spelling) wants to confiscate guns and punish churches that refuse to do gay weddings.

Bernie wants a 97% tax rate on the wealthy.

God help us if any of them are elected.

I'm not voting for any of them.    I don't care for them so just said Yang was most interesting to me.

Well. He certainly thinks out side the box I have to say that.

Out of all of them, I'd rather see Yang get the nomination.... probably no chance though.

Portugal decriminalized all drugs and, combined with their healthcare programs, reduced overall drug related deaths and increased the uptake of drug treatment. UBI is possible, but economically it's argued by major economists like Milton Friedman that a Negative Income Tax would be more effective. Yang's basically a meme candidate though, I doubt he's going to get above 5% in the polls.

Beto O'Rourke is the one who said all the confiscation and church stuff. Almost everyone on stage was against him for that, including Buttigieg.

Bernie's a populist nut. When AOC's ideas on taxing the rich with a top rate of 70% fall more in line with economists (article might have a softwall so if you're wondering, economists Peter Diamond (Nobel prize winner in economics) and Emmanuel Saez state that a top income tax rate of 50-70% for the hyper-rich would be the most beneficial to society) than your own policies there's something wrong.

When I consider the policies they have chosen to run on, I cannot support any of them. If I choose one over another, and yet still vote for President Trump, then the question---which Democrat did I think won---loses its meaning. However, if the question is changed to reflect who Trump may have a harder time defeating, I might say Tulsi Gabbard, who to me seems more level-headed, strong in defense, and has a sense of compassion. She also does not appear to have as much "group think" in her. Since however, the Democratic Party has an agenda, and has already put into place who they want their front-runners to be, she will not have that opportunity, IMO.

Looks like the FiveThirtyEight polls are out on the results of the debates:

Who Won The Fourth Democratic Debate?

The October Democratic Debate In 6 Charts

FiveThirtyEight is run by Nate Silver, one of the biggest data nerds around. Here's what he's gathered about the recent debate:

Warren, Sanders, Buttigieg, Biden, and Klobuchar were ranked as the highest performing debaters, with Gabbard, Steyer, Castro, O'Rourke, and Yang being ranked as he worst performing debaters.

Klobuchar, Buttigieg, Warren, and Sanders all gained at least 2 points in total favorably, while Harris, Castro, Gabbard, and O'Rourke all losing over 2 points in favorably, O'Rourke losing a staggering 5.7 points of net favorability.

The top five candidates to watch out for remain as Warren, Biden, Sanders, Buttigieg, and Harris, with Buttigieg making the biggest lead among the five.

Klobuchar is the only candidate respondents stated they thought had a higher chance of beating Trump after the debates than before.

While Biden lacked a bit, it looks like this debate was a big win for smaller centre-left candidates like Buttigieg and Klobuchar, with the more left wing candidates Warren and Sanders making smaller gains on Biden.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
