O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Amazing...Paul called the Law teachers, "witches".

"Wrong.   There are 2 Laws now...."

Of COURSE!  I just told you what they are:

1. Law of sinful disobedience and death (Dt. 30:15-19)

2. Law of righteous obedience and life (Dt.50:15-19)

Rom. 8:2 only proves we are not under Law #1.

Rom. 8 ALSO proves we are UNDER LAW #2!

Here's the evidence:

1. Rom. 8:2 upholds Christ who requires all Torah (Mt.4:4;5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-42;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (Mt.28:19-20)

2. Rom. 8:2 upholds the SPIRIT who testifies we obey TORAH (Heb.10:15-16), even all Torah ordinances (Eze.36:27) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21 cited at Rom.11:26-27).

3. Rom. 8:3 confirms SIN is BAD.  SIN is Torah-disobedience (Rom.3:20;7:7;1Jn.3:4).  STOP SINNING (1Cor.15:34) thus means OBEY TORAH.

4. Rom. 8:4 upholds the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LAW which is exhibited in TORAH-OBEDIENCE (Dt. 6:25;Is.56:1;Da.12:3;Eze.18:5-9;2Ti.3:16;Mt.5:20).

5. Rom. 8:4 confirms the FLESH IS BAD.  The FLESH disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7).  Thus Torah-disobedience is bad.  Thus, DO GOOD (Gal.6:10) entails OBEYING TORAH.

6. Rom. 8:4 upholds the SPIRIT who testifies we obey TORAH (Heb.10:15-16), even all Torah ordinances (Eze.36:27) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21 cited at Rom.11:26-27).

7. Rom. 8:13 confirms the SPIRIT opposes the flesh.  And the flesh disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7).  Thus the Spirit opposes Torah-disobedience.  Thus the Spirit leads us to OBEY TORAH!

8. Paul JUST TOLD US that he CONTINUES to serve (Rom.7:6).  Serve what?  TORAH! (Rom.7:25).

9. Paul UPHOLDS the New Covenant (1Cor.11) which is given as TORAH (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16).

10. Paul says TORAH-OBEDIENCE is the word of faith he preaches (citing Dt. 30:14 at Rom.10:8).

11. Paul requires ALL Torah (1Cor.7:19).

12. Paul condones an animal-sacrifice-laden vow to prove he "walks orderly according to the law" (Ac.21); Paul requires that YOU imitate that Torah-obedient model (1Cor.11:1;Php.4:9).

"Which means you mind the things of the flesh."

You're UPSIDE DOWN buddy!  The flesh DISOBEYS Torah (Rom.8:7).   I OBEY Torah.

Try again!

"You need to mind the things of the Spirit."

You mean the Spirit who leads us to obey Torah? (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27;Rom.8:13 + Rom.8:7;Jn.6:63 + Mt.5:19;Ps. 51:11,19)

Ok!  Let's obey the Holy Spirit of Torah who leads us to walk in the Spirit in faithful Torah-obedience!

After all, we are given the Holy Spirit IF we obey God (Ac.5:32) who commands TORAH (Dt.1:3;5:27-33).

So OBEY in the Spirit!

Don't walk in the FLESH which DISOBEYS TORAH (Rom.8:7)....that's BAD.

So OBEY!

"Get it right."

Ok.  We should do what is RIGHT (Ac.10:35) and FEAR GOD (Ac.10:35)....

And those who fear God obey TORAH (Dt.17:19;28:58;31:12).

That's why Peter applies Lev. 11 to you (1Pe.1:16).

STOP eating pork (1Pe.1:16 citing Lev.11).

OBEY!

blessings...

2 Laws in one testament.

Yikes!!!

Thy scriptures....

From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

Are you righteous or unrighteous?

If unrighteous, the Law is right up your alley.

I already answered you....

I am righteous in Christ who requires all Torah (Mt.5:19) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (Mt.28:19-20).

You should obey Torah too!  Or else you've OPPOSED the very substance of the Great Commission in Mt. 28:19-20.

RIGHTEOUS people obey TORAH (Dt. 6:25;Is.56:1;Eze.18:5-9;Da.12:3;2Ti.3:16;Mt.5:20).

RIGHTEOUSNESS is something you DO (1Jn.2:29;3:7) or else you are a child of the devil (1Jn.3:10).

So OF COURSE the PROHIBITIVE LAWS (e.g., don't kill, don't lie, don't XYZ....) do not apply to RIGHTEOUS people....because RIGHTEOUS people are ALREADY OBEYING ALL TORAH! (Dt. 6:25;Is.56:1;Eze.18:5-9;Da.12:3;2Ti.3:16;Mt.5:20).

After all, 1 Ti. 1 is written by PAUL who requires TORAH!

Here's more proof you've not bothered to address:

2Ti.3:16

1Cor.7:19

1Cor. 11 + Jer.31:33

Rom.2:13

Rom.2:27

Rom.3:20 + 1Cor.15:34

Rom.7:25 + 1Cor.11:1

Dt. 30:14 + Rom.10:8

Is.59:20-21 + Rom.11:26-27

Ac. 21:24 + Php.4:9

After all, the law is GOOD (Rom.7:12;1Ti.1:8).  So DO GOOD (Gal.6:10) entails OBEYING TORAH.

So OBEY!

blessings...

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Ouch

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Ooof

But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.

11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

Gut shot

13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

Everything you just said contradicts this.....

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.....

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

OOPS!

The SPIRIT testifies we obey TORAH (Heb.10:15-16;Eze.36:27;Is.59:20-21;Rom.8:13 + Rom.8:7;Jn.6:63 + Mt. 5:19).

And there are TWO LAWS:

1. The law of sinful disobedience and death (Dt.30:15-19)

2. The law of righteous obedience and life (Dt.30:15-19)

Rom. 8:2 merely proves you are not under LAW #1.

Paul REQUIRES Law #2!

Here's the proof you continue to NOT address:

2Ti.3:16

1Cor.7:19

1Cor. 11 + Jer.31:33

Rom.2:13

Rom.2:27

Rom.3:20 + 1Cor.15:34

Rom.7:25 + 1Cor.11:1

Dt. 30:14 + Rom.10:8

Is.59:20-21 + Rom.11:26-27

Ac. 21:24 + Php.4:9

After all, Paul serves in the SPIRIT (Rom.7:6).

SERVES WHAT?   TORAH! (Rom.7:25)

So OBEY!

"Just curious...why do you want to be in the latter group?(who the Law is made for)?"

Why would you want to DISOBEY TORAH and, thus, have the PROHIBITIVE TORAH LAWS judge your sinful behavior?

Of course you don't want that!

SO OBEY!

I do NOT want to be in the group of people to whom the PROHIBITIVE LAWS apply!  That's WHY I obey all Torah, so that the PROHIBITIVE laws do not apply!

After all, DO NOT KILL does not apply to my specific behavior today, because I am NOT killing anybody today!

If I DO start killing people, then it DOES apply to me!  That's another good reason to NOT GO AROUND KILLING PEOPLE!

After all, that SAME PAUL upholds SOUND DOCTRINE (1Ti.1:10) which Paul models for us as TORAH-OBEDIENCE (Ac.21;2Ti.3:16;1Cor.7:19;1Cor.11:1).

Of course the PROHIBITIVE laws (e.g., do NOT kill, do NOT lie, do NOT perform bad action XYZ...) are not for righteous people....because righteous people are ALREADY OBEYING ALL TORAH! (Dt.6:25;Is.56:1;Eze.18:5-9;Da.12:3;Mt.5:20;2Ti.3:16)

Question...was the Law made for anyone on this forum?

TORAH is for MEN (i.e., all people) TO LIVE (Mt. 4:4 citing Dt. 8:3 referencing TORAH).

OBEY TORAH and have ETERNAL LIFE (Lk.10:25-28).

Jesus was not joking.

It's ok to actually BELIEVE Jesus (Lk.10:25-28;Mt.5:19).

You can do it!

BELIEVE His words!

Can't find "Torah" in the Bible.

Who invented that phrase?

Who said only 5 books are "Law" books?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
