Frank, you need to look seriously into this verse.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 16Rejoice evermore. 17Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

I understand you've experienced some pretty heavy heartbreaking things in romance. Many of us have lost our love to unfortunate bad marriages, or ones that turned out that way. Thank God that never happened to you. They're devastating and destructive.

This led to spiritual apathy, and general thanklessness. Very common among the young in today's world. As disappointing as love turned out so far, you have your life still way ahead of you. God's not through with you yet. One key-factor that's missing here for you is worship.

Worship is giving of one's thanks in praise. Praise for what He's done to save your soul, and bring you into His kingdom for all eternity. That alone is enough to make me glad! If you'll spend time in grateful adoration before Him, there you'll be in the midst of His presence. It's awesome!

No, it's fine, brother. I mixed up somebody else's testimony with you having a bad breakup with a girlfriend from college. Sorry about that. How embarrassing! :b:

Paul tells us in Philippians 4:6-7...

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
7 And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
