Maybe left politicians want power, but that's politicians in general. I don't think your average everyday person is the same. For the record I'm far more inclined to vote independent than democrat. If you're unwilling to actually learn what the other side has to say, then you cannot be intellectually honest and give commentary on what their goals are. Then there are those who want a communist government and wish to overthrow the constitution and those and the anarchists are a real danger to our future. Then there are the Islamist's who are driven by their holy books to take over and have the entire world submit to their god allah. I'm going to quote myself here because if you read through this thread I think it proves my first point. Not every person on the left properly represents the general overall ideas of the left.' But if you differ with the general overall pushing of the left you shouldn't leave out of your discussions the feelings of the others in the group that you are identifying with. I listened to the video and the person in it was not representing the general overall beliefs of the people on the left that I personally know... @JTC I hope this thread helps to understand left right better.
