When is the rapture?

The last part of Daniel chapter 11 tells us the story of the last days.  Daniel 11:36 tells us about the abomination, when "the king" utters monstrous blasphemies against God.  This king must be the Antichrist.  Then starting in verse 40, we are still talking about this king and we are told that he will be attacked by both the king of the south and the king of the north.  Given that the empire of the antichrist will consist of all of the land controlled by the previous seven empires, this means that his empire will include at least all of the middle east, all of North Africa, most of Europe and all the land up to India.  This also means that the king of the south refers to the Sub-saharan African countries who are currently allied with China and the king of the north refers to Russia who is also allied with China today.  After defeating the north and south in verse 40, the antichrist continues his conquests until he gets to verse 44 where he heads east to meet China as the king of the east coming with a 200 million person army in the Battle of Armageddon.

Given that we are talking about the countries of China and Russia, as well as the European and African continents, I am hoping that you can see this is not going to be some small middle eastern conflict that will end when the US tosses a couple nukes their way.

Once you add in the description of events in Revelation and understand that the second beast refers to the religious institutions who will support the Antichrist's claim to be God, you can see that even in the America's there will be many people who accept this Antichrist as God and worship him.  It is the small remnant who understand what is really happening and preach that the Antichrist is not God who will be shunned and persecuted.  They will have to endure many indignities, and will be cut off from the economy as stores refuse to sell goods to those who have a different religion and do not worship the Antichrist.

Nobody who remains faithful to the God of the Bible and rejects the Antichrist will have an easy time of it no matter where they live.  This is why we need to prepare ourselves for the trial that lies ahead.  Otherwise we will end up denying our Lord and will not enter into His Kingdom.

The abomination of desolation is a device our armed forces uses to cause desolation. It's purpose is to destroy and utterly make away many. 

We used a small one on Hiroshima.

King Antiochus IV of Syria offered a sacrifice of a pig on the Temple altar when he captured Jerusalem in 167BC. This was abomination of desolation.

Are you serious? This is very hateful and serves no purpose.

There have been numerous times the temple was defiled. Titus also defiled the Temple in 70Ad.

Yes I'm serious. The sect of the Pharisees came into existence in 167 bc. The same year they claimed the prophecy concerning Daniels abomination of desolation was fulfilled. The Pharisees doctrine is still taught today by students of the Pharisees. 

Of course Christians know this isnt true because then that would mean Jesus lied when he said it would be fulfilled in the future. 

Still there are some Christians who do not believe Jesus and Insted believe the Pharisees.

No, I am not a pharisee as I am female, gentile, and American.

Both Titus and Antiochus are types which can be used to point out aspects of the antichrist which is to come. All through the bible there are things that happen that point to the future. The flood and the falling of Sodom and Gommorah are types that are used to illustrate aspects of the end which is still to come.

Well, the teaching of the pharisees that the abomination of desolation was not a type. It was the blind leading the blind. 

Daniel was told his prophecy is sealed till the time of the end. That means no one would comprehend it till the time of the end. In 167 bc the Pharisees were founded and they claimed a pig made the house of God desolate. Little did they know what our armed forces would use today to cause desolation. 

Trust me, our armed forces will not drop a pig on Jerusalem to cause desolation. Our armed forces will use something similar to what it use on Hiroshima. 

I hate the fact that so many people have been misled by the Pharisees concerning thier interpretations of Daniels prophecy but I understand that it probably wouldn't be fulfilled if everyone knew the truth.
