To refign us into something special. All the hardships and hurtful things we endure while here are just refigning things to make us stronger by our own will. It will give Him a bit more trust in us when the really important things come about sometime in eternity. It is my understanding that we can't even comprehend what those things will be, but He is getting us ready for them.
