You ask me to form a theory about the final 42 months, and here it is: If as we both agree, the great earthquake in Revelation 11:19 is the same great earthquake as seen in Revelation 16:18, then when we look at the fact that the great earthquake in Revelation 16:18 represents the seventh vial of God's wrath that is cast out upon the beast's worshippers; earth's environment then looks like a pretty miserable place while the beast will have been in power, and the first six vials of God's wrath are poured out upon his kingdom. As such, the judgment shall then sit and rule to take away the beast's authority at Armageddon when the great earthquake shall occur.

 Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Revelation 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Daniel 7:26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

The TRUTH: the beast does not have 1260 days - He has 42 months. And His time will not BEGIN until the midpoint of the week. Why don't you just believe John? 

42 months is another description for 1,260 days, as well as for the time (1) , times (2), and dividing of time (1/2), totalling 3.5 times.

They are worshiping FALSE GODS: things their own hands made. Have you ever been to Asia? Almost EVERY high hill or mountain has a temple to a false God on it. 

Fewer than 10% of the world today feigns worship to some deity cast in earthenware. This used to be a lot more than 10% of mankind in the past, and the Lord did not send plagues on them for their ignorance.

True, ANYTHING can become a god to people. But God was more talking about IDOLS: many made things (Like the thousands of Buddhas around the world) that people bow down too. A great example: an Asian business owner in the US has pictures of Jesus around their front office. But hidden in the back, a Buddha on a shelf. They are very careful not to offend "buddha." So what if we know the name of the first "Buddha?" So what if he was only a man that needed salvation himself. 

I once had a Chinese pen-pal. She told me a story: She had her "Buddha" on a shelf in her apartment. There was a fire. All she could think of was to save Buddha! She got to him and ran out of the burning apartment with Buddha in her arms. Once she was safe, she began to think: it was all backwards! Buddha was suppose to save HER, not her save Buddha! She gave up being a Buddhist at that moment in her life!

Yes, but the 1260 days must be accurate to the very day. I cannot say that about the 42 months. Anyway, It is written that the Beast gets 42 months: why not say it the way John wrote it?

God has had great mercy. But eventually, judgment MUST come. It is the end of time as we have known it.

Even Isaiah in the 8th century BC describes Idolatry as the things man worships, which causes man to err.

Isaiah 2:8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

John wrote the descriptions of the beast's reign as it was presented to him. The Word describes the time, times, and dividing of time, in Revelation 12:14 as 1,260 days in Revelation 12:6.

Yes, a greater number of individuals in the past were more prone to this basic type of idolatry. This type of basic idolatry in which one prays to a stock of wood has diminished significantly in the last few decades; so would the Lord all of a sudden decide it is not progressing fast enough, so now I'm going to plague the earth? No, this is not the type of idolatry indicated by Revelation 9:20 in which all the plagues in Revelation 8 & 9 are attributed to the love mankind has for the things his hands produce.
