I guess what really gets me is there are posters on this site who I suppose are members of that "false church." They make sport of us here as they gleefully say they are going to work for, and actually vote for, a party that boos the very mention of God, that embraces abortion, racism, "transgenders," Marxism, socialism, pedophilia, you name it. In other words they've crossed into the enemy's camp, arms spread wide, with a hallelujah on their lips and blood dripping from their hands.

I simply don't get it. I just don't. Maybe I'm not supposed to. But for pity's sake, are there NO standards in the Body of Christ anymore?

I don't think so. Maybe I do. But look at the delineated bullet points listed above, and you tell me.

You need to keep in mind that the body of Christ is divided between the sheep and the goats.

Is there any difference between wheat and tares - sheep and goats? Other then that one is animal and the other is vegetable?

You could do as I do and just stay away from the Politics.  Personally, I don't like discussing or reading others views on politics so I just don't go to the posts about Politics and I don't engage in chat discussions about it either.  I feel there is a place for political discussion but its not on the internet with people I dont really know, so I don't discuss it with people I don't know and with those I do know we dont push anything on each other, we just share our views and leave it alone allowing everyone to have their own.

People will vote for who they choose to vote for.  You have no control over that, I have no control over that.  It's a free country and we are all given the privilege of voting for who we want to.

Your original post sounds like just because people won't vote the way you want them to, you can't stick around and that is actually a poor reason not to stick around.  You can't control others.  Everyone has a right to what they want to do but as far as having to read about it a lot, just don't read the political posts.

There seems to be plenty of Biblical posts going on that could be read and responded to.  I guess it all comes down to:  Why are you here?  to push your view?  To disagree with others?  To share God's word?  etc?  Maybe just ask yourself that question and go from there and if you still feel you need to leave, that, too, is something we are all free to choose.  Come or go, we can decide.

Our reward is with God, not man. We should not expect that they are going to throw us a parade. We should expect persecution. "'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also." (John 15:20)

I'm new here so I guess I have no historical references. Like you I am and always will be firmly against abortion, so called "alternate lifestyles" and basically anything that isn't biblical. I WILL NOT attend any church or denomination in support of such. Their watered down explanations simply don't hold up under any kind of educated scrutiny. I guess the thing that burns me most is out of something like 300 million people in America these are the only two people they can find to run for president?

Everyone always has a reason for why they believe what they believe . When you state a point they can counter with " Yes but", and on it goes. I personally can't rationalize it. I don't really think we have very good choices either way. From a Christian perspective one choice is more obviously correct aside from the personalities behind the parties. Since when have people voted based on how likable someone is compared to what they will do or stand for? Don't think I'm not aware that we are still probably being "played". The Bible says that God is who sets up leaders. Sometimes the reason isn't for prosperity but judgement.

I think humans are wired to look at an individual for help. We ignore the fact that much of the rest of the government is corrupt. No matter who wins that won't change.

In the end I think we are simply being led to a culmination of events that will bring on major global changes in government all leading up to the anti christ. The guy who will have all of the answers ( or so it would appear) Never mind that He ( they) made the problems that needed the answers in the first place. Just being human is problem enough, let alone those whose intent is to bring on a world dominated by satan. Who is the prince and power of the air? Who is referred to as " the god of this world"? We know the answer to that one. If we live long enough to see these radical changes it will certainly be a huge disappointment to remember America or any other country as it was X number of years ago.

It's all eventually coming to a head. Should we pray that it doesn't happen? Or should we pray that it does? Which of those two options will see us in our white robes and see evil destroyed? Will we be in a protective bubble while all of this is happening? These are important questions to answer because the reality of it is it's going to get bad before it gets better. It might get very bad. We might begin to wonder when it's going to be over. We DO know this- God/Jesus is the victor. If we follow Him that makes us victorious. No matter how things might appear that outcome has already been determined. Apparently a "process' is involved though and that process will cause many Christians to stumble and question.

I am an avid Trump supporter.  But what saddens me is the irrational denial by my Republican friends that Biden's victory is inevitable.  This time the polls are consistent and reliable.   No last second anti-Hillary Comey memo will intervene to change that inevitability.  What saddens me even more is the real reason for Biden's inevitable victory--massive evangelical apathy.   For example, in the last election Trump would have won in my state, Washington, if evangelicals had all voted.  As usual, millions of evangelicals will stay at home on election day and this time that will cost Trump the White House.

That is exactly what we have. Two people that made the problems. Trump said he was going to drain the swamp. Turns out the swamp is a lot more resistant to being drained then what we thought it was going to be.

True that.

The swamp is actually a lake and it's full of piranhas. Plus, I imagine it can be tough to realize some of your friends are involved.

That is because it is not the people who nominate and choose the candidates, parties do that. Then it is only the elite in the parties. There are basically only two viable parties, in terms of realistic chances of getting a president elected. Those in the parties with that power and privilege, are too often being politicians whose interests are often tied to keeping and gaining power and other benefits, and see pleasing special interests, and lobbyists, as their keys to more power and re-election. As I said, we have politicians running, rarely do we see any statesmen running, men and women who consider the welfare of the people and of the country as most important. Once every few decades, we might see a statesman in the primaries, but the party elite make sure that they are not the nominees, even if, and perhaps especially if the people favor them.
What eludes me is why on earth the Democrat party has decided to put forth such shoddy offerings. I suspect if they went more moderate, they would easily win the presidency in 2020. Instead, they have gone with leftists, when they could have taken a lot of the middle that will not get this way. However by trying to appease the nuts, they sure make decisions easier, and the choices clear.
Politically, they do not need to be left, not even left of center, just left of the Republicans would do it I think.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
