I use to be in the middle, if there is such a position .  That all changed with the recent riots is the USA and listening to some learn men about the history of some issues . I  now can identify my position as conservative .  Marxism/socialism and all the rest of the isms are evil . Plain and simple.  

I like the quote "Those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it".

One day a dog had a bone and was walking over a bridge, he looked down at the stream and saw a bigger bone . He dropped the one he had for the reflection of the one he saw, now he has nada.   What's the lesson for mankind here.

I want to ask. Why would you not love them?  (not you personally but in general)   I can't find myself hating people simply because they are different then me.  I have more of issue if the person is a jerk though. But we are suppose to love jerks too. So I guess that is something I need to work on.

I have problems with jerks too. Basically there are 2 kinds of people, decent ones and those who don't even seem human. Nothing else really matters.

Let me modify in context of the topic at hand . There are two types of people Left and right.  The left does this and the right does that. I am already ducking from the missiles and taking cover.

Loving our neighbor as we love ourselves can be a challenge, no doubt about that. Capturing thoughts and holding them in captivity to Christ Jesus: it helps to remember that regardless of the actions of our neighbor, the Lord created them as surely as He fashioned us. We substitute ourselves in their place, treating them as we wish to be treated.

You sure , you ain't have some written poetry hidden somewhere.  The above is what is required from believers as we encounter the pitfalls in our journey.  

There is one co-worker who I keep having to distance myself from for periods, until I have to keep reminding myself, that being a witness is tough in this world and we have an arch enemy that likes to make these animosities, which in turn we look upon as flesh and blood issues.   So, then I go make things right and go to bed, even though I know it should be the other way around.
