My thoughts on the abortion issue in the USof A. I believe that there is a spiritual component in it to be considered.

Yes--there has always been abortion and other methods of infanticide. I believe that ALmighty God deals with nations differently than he deals with individuals and even cultural pockets within a nation.

Its my belief that Roe v Wade was a 'nation' putting its stamp of approval on the worship and loyalty to Molech and that this is a very real thing. I see that action as a turnng point for the USof A.

I also believe that repentance can and may happen and that it could be a turning point toward a revival of seeking God and loyalty to Him as a nation.

On the other hand--I may be all wet.

I pray for these things, @Alive. I pray for peace, I pray for the leaders of the nations, and I pray for our president. I've delved a little further than I usually care to go in this topic because I try to be cautious with my opinions about matters such as these. There's a danger of coming across as "anti (fill in the blank)" when truly, I care about this world. Our Father loves this world enough to send His only Son to all men.

I take the apostle Peter's exhortation to heart: be law-abiding. Like others who have shared here, I'm concerned about what I witness in this world and my conscience forbids me from "choosing sides" in the worldly arena. I pray for everyone in this world, not just for a few. :)

Agreed, my friend. I am referring specifically to men and the nations of the earth which have not chosen to serve the Lord at any time, the U.S. included. Individual members of society notwithstanding, but it's important to keep in mind that individual members of a society form the governments which rule the nation in question. These are responsible for shedding innocent blood; those who profess Christ have innocent blood on their hands. "Love your neighbor as yourself" and "love your enemies" have not been features of earthly nations.

Even during the 1,000 year reign of Christ there are nations in rebellion to God. Because of his covenant with Ishmael though Abraham.

Amen! Yes and yes. I have never been so moved to pray for our leaders as of late...and others.

It may be that something is afoot. I have never before felt the heart of our Lord in regards to 'not wishing that any perish'--as of late.

Abortion is an abomination. No more to be said.  Slavery was an abomination and people that wanted to keep it would say anything at all to try and sling mud so that they would not have to give up their way of life.

I cannot be part of making something so evil, legal.  If something is legal, that means that it is not harmful. God is the author of life.  Period.

We do not get reliable news.  I got to listen to President Trump on the radio today. He was not interrupted.  I fact checked him and I was amazed at what we do NOT hear about on any news station.  He has done plenty for the poor and for trying to keep dangerous drugs, sex trafficking and criminals out of our country. His job is to protect.

You need to look into actual documents over what has happened and NOT rely on any of the major networks. Even Fox is getting pretty sketchy in what good things about the president that they leave out.

People can talk all they want. Look at their actions and actual votes.  Go to https://www.isidewith.com/

You can go through every single issue and get into it on the surface or in depth.  President Trump is who he is but God has a way of using people that we would least expect.  Which one of us could have taken the beating that he has been taken.  Which families out there could take having so many constant lies and hate thrown our way.  Look, he is not who I voted for in the 2016 primaries. I voted for Ted Cruz and I had a problem voting for Trump in 2016. I did it, but I didn't like it.  This time I will wait outside in the freezing rain for hours to vote for him if need be.

I can only then hope that Ted Cruz or another intelligent Christian will run in 2024

I pray that President Trump would gain humility and apologize when he says things in ways that do not glorify God. It is hard for a rich man and we should all rally for him to have the Holy Spirit fill him with truth and wisdom.  For that matter I also do still pray for former presidents Obama and Clinton and their families.  To God be the glory if they would see abortion for the abomination that it is.

They say Pence will serve for 8 years after Trump.  They should trade jobs and let Trump be the Vice president under Pence for 8 years. They say the vice presidential house is nicer than the White House. I am surprised that Trump did not add  add a high rise building onto the white house and more into the penthouse sense that is what he did for a living. At least he claims to be a developer but I think he is more of a commercial real estate salesman like his daughter and her husband.

We were there about 2 weeks.   Overcast some.  It was August and while we were on Colonsay we caught the tail end of a hurricane, so delayed our big ferry about 7 hours, until 2 am but we were welcomed pre-dawn by the couple of the house where we stayed.   It did rain next day, and I had my winter hooded coat in the driving rain and ?barely 50 or ?40s, then incredible golden sunset and clouds right above next evening.  Several sheep had a regular niche in a hillside where they stayed out of the rain.  Most of the time in cities it was quite nice, not very sunny.   We loved Oban, Inverness, Glasgow, and Edinburgh!  We had an unforgetable, wonderful trip.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I like Oban and Inverness too, parts of Edinburgh (that's where I come from originally, although I haven't lived there for years) and not much of Glasgow.

The issue has to do with the supreme court. If you are pro abortion then Biden is your man. He will continue the wholesale murder of unborn babies. If you want life then Trump represents a court that support life. My question is, who is going to take care of those 30 million aborted babies in Heaven?  It would be nice if their parents would repent and be reconciled with their child but we know that is not going to happen for all 30 million of them.

" Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

You all seem to think that an anti-abortion law would mean there are no more abortions.  The only thing such a law would do would force women into dark, underground places.  Why so much care for the unborn? And so little care to the born? Republican's are the first to cut off health care, food aid and other gov. programs.

I wonder if the Republican's ever do ban legal abortions. What are they then going to do to keep you all voting for them? Since abortion seems to be the one thing that everyone on here screams about being the reason they vote for them.  It would be in their best interest in order to keep you voting for them, to not do away with legal abortion if you ask me.  Well it is just a thought.

I am almost certain that there is something in the Bible about caring for the poor.  But I think you are missing my point. My point being is that having programs for the needy and health care, cuts down on people feeling the need to seek out an abortion.  In truth, abortions have falling over the past few years.

I don't think there's any place in the new testament that talks about caring for the poor. I think when it mentions the poor it is referring to the Christian and not the unbeliever.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
