I think it can be discussed in its own forum and its own time, but not so much in fellowship. We have to consider everyone one in fellowship and why they are there.  A lot of people come to church for a refreshing and to recover getting beat up in daily life, and really are looking for a no drama zone. And we ALL know politics has a lot of drama.

This is a spiritual topic not just a political one. I see no reason why it cant be posted here.

I have had trouble with "living in the world and not being a part of the world" sometimes.  It's hard for me to just sit by and watch as my fellow humans become more and more filled with lust, power, greed and selfishness and not become irate.  I try not to respond from my humanism but it's hard for me when someone attacks people I love or my beliefs.  To watch others destroy with their actions and words and stand idly by is hard for me.  I'm like a mama bear protecting her cubs. I am trying to chose my battles wisely more these days since there are sooooooooooo many battles going on in the world today.

Wisdom is what i seek, thank you.

But then enter Trump. I saw how he was really making America great again, and i love America. The man actually accomplished a lot of good for this country, but alas politics dont give credit where credit is due, it only gives credit to its own side. I saw how Trump was mistreated by democrats and the media. I saw what i consider to be partisan hypocrisy and bigotry. So i gave up on my quest to love liberals and i hailed Trump. I still like Trump, even though hes not perfect, but i have a higher calling do i not?

Perhaps politics can be discussed in a spiritual manner? Perhaps politics are just worldly, a trap set for our feet that causes us to stumble, i.e. a stumbling block? Are worldly concerns even spiritual? Many questions. I look forward to a discussion in fellowship, in the Spirit with others. Please forgive me, and don't blame me for my like of Trump and what i said about hypocrisy. I dont want to stumble or cause another to stumble, im just being honest and i pour out my heart in this matter for the sake of Truth in the inwards parts of myself, and for fellowship in the Spirit.. Please, if you like, feel free to share what you think of Republicans and i will pray and try not to be offended. And please dont be offended by me. Im looking for wisdom from my brothers and sisters. Thank you.

I agree with u Trump is good but may be for America only.

What you're going through is spiritual without a doubt, but do you understand that the nature of politics engenders division? The moment you refer to a brother or sister --- or your neighbor --- as a Republican or Democrat, you embrace this division for you no longer regard your neighbor as yourself. You view them as an other. People are either your ally or opponent.

This flies in the face of what Jesus Christ taught and is contrary to the testimony of the scriptures. The Lord never told us to support a leader only if they meet with our approval, much like how He never said "love your neighbor so long as they please you." I've observed political thinking destroy fellowship time and time again. It's a terrible thing to witness.

The OP mentioned Gods wisdom and devilish wisdom.

James 3:13 Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and [k]selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, [l]natural, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and [m]selfish ambition exist, [n]there is disorder and every evil thing. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, [o]reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, [p]impartial, free of hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace [q]by those who make peace.

This part of the scripture alone rebukes politicians. (impartial, free of hypocrisy)

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, [o]reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, [p]impartial, free of hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace [q]by those who make peace.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
