you call me a liar. I'm not. I can have two reasons you know.

I didn't call you a liar, i said you were looking for excuses. This is the second time you have put words in my mouth. At this point im going to continue on as you refuse to hear anything you disagree with.

Why is it wrong to tell someone they should do something? Doesn't the bible tell us what we should do?

One thing I learned from "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus" is that you never offer unsolicited advice to a man. It gets you knowhere. You have to let him ask you. And sometimes he asks simply by saying he is having a problem with something. that's his way of saying, "do you have any advice on this".

On a slightly related note, when a woman tells you that she is having a problem with  something, she just wants your empathetic attention. It's not about the nail.

Yes, false teachers will abound, but let's look at a couple other times teachers are mentioned...

So teachers are part of the church, placed there by God.

Seems to suggest that we can and should all be able to be teachers.

Paul, in Timothy, calls himself a teacher to the Gentiles.

I dont believe in apostles or teachers. I dont think God put these teachers in authority, i think man did. That scripture refers to real apostles and teachers, the ones God actually put there, the ones who wrote scripture.

This is talking of those who twist scripture to back up sinful lifestyles, not about those who seek His teachings.  2 Timothy 4:1-5 is the scripture you were referring to, so let's take a closer look.

I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.  But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Notice that those who do so "will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires" - meaning they don't want the truth, but are looking for ways to make themselves feel better about their sin.

You need to ask yourself why would God give us the office of teaching if He did not want us to have teachers?  1 Corinthians 12:27-21 tells us:

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.  And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.  Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?  Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?  But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

Scripture does not contradict itself.  Just be careful who you sit under.  As shown you earlier, be as those from Berea spoken of in Acts 17:10-15 and take what you are told and place it beside scripture to see if it is true or not.

I dont think teachers today have been appointed by God but by man and his flawed theology. If God appointed them they would have no errors.

All teachers have errors. Heck, just see my tag line. And the authors of the earlier books of the bible thought the world was flat and another world was suspended above it with pillars we call mountains. You can see it in the way they describe the world. And Paul (and Hippocrates) thought women's hair was a sex organ.

We get to focus and determine the "truth" based on prayer and the functioning of our mind and spirit - dramatically enhanced by our relationship with our creator and implementation of his will for our life.

So you are saying Gods apostles taught the church error? I dont agree.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
