Interesting color wheel.
I have used a similar one mixing dyes and stains for coating projects.
I have found, if you mix all the old unused house paint of various colors to use up the paint,
the color
always turns out brown!

According to my wife, Riverwalker, I can only see black or white.
I may be the head of the family.
But, She's the heart.    (and the boss:)

From what i have read there are couple of categories pertaining to colors, pigment-generated and light-generated. when mixing colors some might produce the same colors and some will not produce the same colors when mixing. probably the reason you always get brown from mixing all pigment colors.

Interesting topic seems black causes the eye to not see colors and white causes the eye to see all colors.

Black absorbs all light and white reflects all light. Color is in the light. I had a black car once and it got very hot in the summer because it absorbed the sun light rather than to reflect it.

I hear a lot of people say that there is no black and white, just many shades of gray.

I disagree.

I think we perceive things as gray because we are not looking at them closely enough.  We are not defining them

Below you will find a square of grey

grey.jpg.6d272922fce0634cb7eff2687e8fca59.jpg

Surely looks gray, hard to argue it. But when you look closer (Zoom In) you will find it is not the gray we perceive it to be, it is black and white being muddled by our casual view

greyclose.jpg.ec57be1332d4473162a44e79135a254e.jpg

By defining the individual pixels we can pick out the black and white

Example

If you ask a general question like "Is it ever okay to kill somebody" you will get a whole gambit of answers, that will turn it gray

But if you focus the question : Is it ever okay to kill somebody who has broken into your house and is threatening to kill your family? I think the answer would be quite different

(and before you go there, please remember that Jesus told His disciples to carry swords for protection Luke 22: 36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. 37 For I say to you that this which is written must still be [e]accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.” 38 So they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.” )

Good and evil are absolutes....if you can't find the black or white of an issue....refine your search...zoom in

I agree with you 100%. I believe that God is true and perfect 100% of the time. Thus, His moral absolutes are perfect. Of course there are times when we don't understand what the absolute is in a particular situation, but if we seek God, we will find truth. I think gray spirituality assumes that there are no absolutes, which is saying that God is not always perfect. Nothing can stand on any premise that removes any perfection from God.

I totally agree that when this principle is applied to what God says in His word there are no situational ethics.

While ethics is not situational some actions are ok in one instance and not ok in another instance. We could say killing is murder yet that determination is made based on the situation. If I'm in the military fighting the enemy defending my wife and kids back home from an enemy killing is encouraged of the enemy. If a murderer is taken away for execution, that is justified based on the law of the land. In all situations a man is killed. In all situations a man is not murdered. God tested Abraham to see if he would be willing to kill his own son if God told him to do it. What if a country with corrupt laws executes a person based on evil unfair laws? Did they murder or execute the person? What made their laws unjust when held up against another country?

In 1 Timothy 3 we are told deacons should be the husband of one wife. Polygamy is illegal in most parts of the US. Adam had one wife not multiple "wives". Yet God allowed a few men in the OT to have multiple wives and it would appear they were not cursed as a result. So is it illegal to have more than one wife or not? In one instance it was allowed. In another it wasn't.

We are told it's unfair to be biased, yet God showed favor early on to the Jews. Joseph's father favored him over his brothers. So is favoritism wrong or isn't it?

The next danger is in thinking we know what "black and white" are beyond a shadow of a doubt. You might think you know what white is when you really don't. Not knowing something and imposing it on others is worse than knowing it and not telling anyone.

It is illegal to have more than one wife in the USA, so here it is wrong.  Anyone who has had  17 to 19 year old daughters knows that living with two or more women in a household is not pleasant, no matter how much you love them.

Shades of gray, black and white. I understand what you posted but using what we see physically to then try to understand what goes on supernaturally?  Do we not know how it is in heaven? There is written "who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me" "Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted."

Here we have judges and lawyers where its not just black and white.. in this world. There are courts in heaven. Christ said to Peter  " Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you..." Man there is SO MUCH to that we don't see nor talk about. This is a fallen world where Satan is the god. In heaven I don't see black and white.. just God where there is no black no darkness nothing like that.

Haha just thinking.. when ever God shows me something as in dreams or visions it never has black in it .. has gray.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
