How We Can Absolutely KNOW Absolutely That We Are Saved:
By JAG
(written for my grand grandchildren ~ May 17, 2021)

All we Christians need to have the assurance of our salvation. A large
number of we Christians, in the past at times, have struggled against
doubt. The problem is this: Sometimes we feel like we're  saved and
sometimes we feel like maybe we're not saved ~ or  at least we  have
some doubts that enter our minds. The solution to this problem is to
never trust your feelings on this issue because your feelings will
change with the wind. Your feelings will go from high's to low's
based on the changing winds of circumstances.  Instead of trusting
in your feelings on this issue,  put all your trust in God's Word which
never changes and God has said clearly and specifically that we can
KNOW for certain that we are saved. And God does not tell lies. He
always tells the truth. So? So "have faith in God" and KNOW that
you are saved.

("Have faith in God"__The Lord Jesus in Mark 11:22)

■ "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God
so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:13

"SO THAT YOU MAY KNOW YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE"

■ "My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow Me. I give
them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them
out of My hand. My Father, who gave them to me is greater that all,
and no one can snatch them out of My Father's hand."
John 10:27-28

"THEY SHALL NEVER PERISH"

■ "We KNOW that we have passed from death to life, because we love
each other."
1 John 3:14

"WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE PASED FROM DEATH TO LIFE"

■ "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that
whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

"SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE."

■ "Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys My word will never see death"
{that is, spiritual death ~ being lost}
John 8:51

"WILL NEVER SEE DEATH"

■ "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who
sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from
death to life."
John 5:24

"WILL NOT BE JUDGED BUT HAS CROSSED OVER FROM DEATH TO
LIFE"

■ "Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes
in Me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in Me will
never die."
John 11:25-26

"WILL LIVE, EVEN THOUGH THEY DIE . . . WILL NEVER DIE"

■ "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

"WILL FORGIVE US OUR SINS"

■ "For I am convinced that neither death not life, neither angles or demons,
neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height or depth,
nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love
of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39

{NOTHING IN THE UNIVERSE CAN)  "SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF
GOD"

So if you ever have any doubts that you are saved, immediately read those
Bible verses up there  and KNOW that you are saved. If Satan ever tries to
convince you that you are not saved, read  those Bible verses up there and
KNOW that you are saved.

God Bless.

@JAG**

As you know, verses alone will not always give you the truth if they are taken out of context or re-purposed into another meaning to fit many other doctrines of faith and salvation.

After about a year after my conversion, I started questioning my churches doctrine, what they believed, and what they did.

That questioning and searching and studying ended up lasting nearly 40 years, after weeding through nearly every faith out there, and what they all believed and why, but the Holy Spirit was faithful even through some rather trying times.

I am still studying and learning, but my questions about my faith and was I saved and in the right church have all been answered by the Holy Spirits leading.

I have a strong foundation of faith and salvation now, which I am building on as I study and grow - PRAISE GOD!!

Salvation is much more than simply a confession or a baptism - it is a lifelong commitment to faithfulness.

During this steadfast commitment to being disciples of Christ Jesus we have hope in His promises and patience in waiting for our due recompense.

But again it is not simply trusting in the word of God, in some favourite verses, but a Christian who hopes to be saved MUST be a doer of the Word and comply with all that the NT teaches us to do.

When I read the title to this topic, I thought it was going to be a question. I was going to direct the answer to that to a ten question test in 1st John and the Gospel of John. But you did the answering :D

If we have genuine faith in the Lord Jesus, then we KNOW that we have eternal life and will never perish.  It is only through faith (a living, loving, trusting relationship with the Lord) that we can have assurance of salvation.  The evidences of that salvation are fruit that the Holy Spirit works in our lives and the witness of the Holy Spirit in us.

Phil. 1:6 (VW) being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it unto the day of Jesus Christ;

1 John 3:7-9 (EMTV)

7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
8 He who practices sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God appeared, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
9 No-one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.

1 John 5:3,4 (EMTV)

3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,
4 because everything having been born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that has overcome the world—your faith.

John 5:24 (EMTV) "Most assuredly I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has eternal life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Salvation is by grace through faith.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

And without faith it is impossible to please God.

Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you now believed?

Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word.
Thanks for the word, Jag...

It's good to leave your loved ones a legacy like how to understand they're saved.   That is a Wonderful Gift!

I know that I am saved because:

1) God predestined for me to be

2) God gave me the Faith to believe in Him when He invited me to accept Him as my Lord/Savior/Father.

3) God gave me the Faith to continue Believing in Him

4) God went to an awful lot of work to ensure my Salvation, which tells me, He will continue that work to keep me

5) God has guaranteed my Salvation

John 3:16–18 (AV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
