When God testifies to your spirit, that you are his child, before ever reading any bible,..you will never doubt that....of course there was my testimony before all of that happened, it’s a long story.

i have never doubted my salvation, because the Holy Spirit indwells me, a relationship with has grown very,very deeply.

My belief, if God saved you.....you will never ever doubt. The Holy Spirit indwells you....taken up residence, never to leave....

Romans 8:9-11

You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit Of God lives in you.

And if anyone  does not have the  Spirit of Christ ,he does not belong to Christ.

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead  because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.

And if the Spirit Of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your  mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

He knows us and we know Him.

For me, building on the right coarse of life, begins with the right choice for conversion among many false choices, will give you the peace we all want to start our walk of faith, but there is no PERMANENT GUARANTEE, only a DOWN PAYMENT that is "CONDITIONAL", on how we endure until the the Lord returns.

As I see it, life is a journey and a process of "LANDMINES", TEMPTATIONS, TRIALS, TRIBULATIONS, HEARTACHES, FAILURES, LOOSING FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES, FINANCIAL FAILURES AND TROUBLES, REJECTIONS, and many many more the longer you live.

To me, our journey is about how we navigate those difficulties, endure ,fail, and get up and dust off our tarnished faith, and hopefully move on to achieve a bright shinning faith of love and kindness that is a beacon of Christ to all that know us.

Would you qualify your statement above, in simple succinct words, not shrouded.
Would be better than me guessing and misunderstand, as I'm sure you understand.
What conditions need be met beyond the 'down payment' that you imply?

The questions of yours about my comments about conditions or "conditional" refers to the way we choose to live our lives after our conversion.

I'm not of the OSAS persuasion, not being critical, just my personal choice, and Paul speaks of enduring until the end, and walking in the Spirit not the "FLESH" and a lot of other verses warning us about our choices as believers, so to me I see our walk with Christ as "conditional" until Christs return."

Like owning a house and making payments until it's paid for completely. Our ownership of the home is 'Conditional" until it's paid for totally.

Jesus said this.

Matthew 7:21

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter."

Paul say's In Matthew 24:13 Jesus says, “He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved”.

"SHALL be saved," not is already saved !

Again Paul says, 2nd Timothy 4:7).“I have finished the race”: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

(1 Corinthians 9:24-25)  Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a "CROWN" that will last forever."

To get a CROWN from effort. It was not his already, it had to be accepted through effort by winning THE RACE to receive his CROWN'

Paul is talking about earning something through effort from our hearts, not just a legalistic work, but what has been offered, like salvation, but without accepting either one, you get neither.”

A prize, or in this case a "CROWN" is offered, but we have to accept it through effort, as Paul says in these verses above.

If this doesn't work for you, then it's probably because we are speaking from different doctrines, but praise God, we can have the same Godly Love for one another even if we don't agree - "PRAISE GOD !!
