Another OSAS thread ... great, as if there were not enough division on this site.

Is that what the brother wanted to discuss?

Or he wanted to discuss divisions.

They are both good and hot subjects and knowledge and understanding do not remain stable, perhaps he has something to say that we did not hear before.

Or another brother may come and say something we did not hear before.

How about if Jesus asked him to start this thread, and only he knows why?

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Maybe I dare to say that the Lord sent him with his message because he wants him to enlarge his understanding in these matter.

We have to wait and see.

I apologize, this is meant to be an introduction to the video. A video I did not adequately point out in the link.

You look quite a reasonable brother and well spoken.

There is something that I may say and I do not have anything to say about the use of videos.

Personally and without prejudice and pre-Judging I prefer to have a conversation with someone at hand.

That's why I asked what do you want to make clear about, so we can have a discussion without prejudice.

Hope you feel comfortable and if you do not at this moment you are gonna have to start at some point, and this is your opportunity to start now, this way the gifts the Holy Spirit has put in you will grow and multiply.

You are quick to see that not me.

I am not sure how he is going to do it and what side he takes or maybe he may want to decide on that after he has heard from more brothers.  Thanks for the response.

This work focuses on God's point of view and by extension reality. The topic of the scripture you stated is about the difficulty of humans perceiving others accurately. What was manifested in those who went from them in 1 John 2:19? I am assuming they fell to idol worship and not a projection of whatever I would degree with.

@Scott Free I like the way you mention God's point of view and the reality it extends.

Apostasy is literally the moving away from a position, and it is both a possibility and a reality that those who once received the Word of God with joy, were enlightened and learned by experience the gift of God to the world in the giving of His Son Jesus to redeem sinners, understood the position of those in Christ who are redeemed and partook of the Holy Spirit, can fall away.

This truth is not to be conflated with the argument that they were never genuinely converted, but rather is to serve as a warning against letting the Gospel slip and treating its great salvation with negligence.

Warning Against Neglecting Salvation
Heb 2:1  Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
Heb 2:2  For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
Heb 2:3  How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Heb 2:4  God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

Heb 3:1-6  Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;  (2)  Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.  (3)  For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has buildt the house has more honour than the house.  (4)  For every house is buildt by some man; but he that built all things is God.  (5)  And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;  (6)  But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

To me, the title is a giveaway.  It is an opening for those who do not believe you can walk away from salvation, so they will answer no, you cannot reject the Holy Spirit after salvation, and then there are those who believe that after salvation someone can walk away from Christ if they chose to, rejecting the Holy Spirit and His salvation.  I don't see any other options to the discussion.

The first scripture are not referring to the lose of salvation. I agree with what you are saying, who wants to be one of these poor souls. "But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames." 1 Corinthians 3:14-15

The last scripture proves the point that the lose of hope and faith is the real danger to eternal life.

I like the comparison between OT and NT woven through all of the epistle to Hebrews. In this case the examples of the giving of the Law to Moses and the teachings of Christ in person are in view.

Hebrews 2:3

"How shall we escape",

This is a tricky question.

Is the speaker and his audience in some situation that they need to escape from?

Because he said: how shall we escape?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
