The problem with saying that our souls pre-existed, is that it is saying that our souls are equal with God.  God is NOT a created being, we humans are.  We are creation and all of us are one of a kind individuals.

The suggestion of man pre-existing, before conception in the womb, points to reincarnation, which is unbiblical to boot.  Reincarnation does not come from the bible, but from worldly philosophy and new-age ideals.  There are no scriptures which speak of our souls as pre-existing before conception.

The fact that God foreknows us, means that He was involved in the creation of each person in the womb. Consider Psalm 139:13-15 (NIV)

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;    your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you   when I was made in the secret place.

No it doesn't mean that it means when we are conceived physically we are created Spiritualy/Soulishly. This body is temporary it will die and go back to the dust from whence it came.....but as Celine Deon sang, our hearts will go on and on

Not every Christian's body will go back to the dust. Some will be raptured.

Not biblical, but neither is the trinity we all accept in theory, but never mentioned in the bible specifically.

It is not mentioned by name, no, but the concept is certainly there!

That is to say, that there are three persons mentioned in scripture, all of them said to be God, and there is only one God, so, the three persons are one God. However, it does not say there are only three persons of God, if there are more, then the Bible is silent about them.

Your absolutely right @Omegaman 3.0.

I was just making a point using the Trinity as an example, but certainly not questioning the presence, the existence, or the validity of the Trinity, which I have totally accepted in my own faith many many decades ago, and they are a very active ongoing part of my life.

May God bless you greatly in your continuing walk with Him.

The problem with saying that our souls pre-existed, is that it is saying that our souls are equal with God.

Most of us here @appy know that God is the creator of everything, including all of us.

God chose to say the things He did in scripture, I believe, so that we do understand our place with Him, and that His words help us understand we are far below Him as created beings, but nonetheless greatly loved and cared for, and He even said we were made in His image, which we are.

I'm so grateful that God says what He does in scripture, and that we can quote Him as Christ did, and have no agenda in our heart but His truth.

All through scripture we are reminded by God of our place with Him, of who He is as the "GREAT I AM," so there is no way I would ever even think of insinuating anyone being even close to a co-equal position with God.

That's what got "Lucifer" thrown out of heaven thinking He could be an equal or better with God.

God say's what he does, and we learn from it.

Jeremiah 1:4-5, (4)The word of the LORD came to me, saying: (5)“Before I formed you in the womb "I knew you", and before you were born I set you apart."

Job 37:5-6 "God does great things BEYOND OUR UNDERSTANDING."

God doesn't always expect us to understand all His words at once, but over time, and to sometimes just find glory in them and Glorify Him for speaking to us.

I am so glad to know that I wasn't just someone who happened along, but that He not only had a plan for me, Jeremiah 29:11-14, but that He chose to create m , and even far beyond that, grateful He was willing to tell me all about it, which even causes me to love Him more because I wasn't an accident or afterthought.

Psalm 139:13-15

13 "For You created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;"

PRAISE GOD!!!

I'm not sure what you're intending to say to me. Because my post was NOT about anyone not knowing that God is creator.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
