The way I truly believe (I need to slow myself down a bit) is that a predestined person who hears the Gospel, the very first time mind you, will certainly jump up and down and run into the arms of his Savior.  (because he’s predestined — it’s what he’s been waiting for!)

Ephesians 1:11-12

11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

As far as “everybody else,” I believe we need to leave that in our Father’s hands.  We know for sure that we have a merciful Father.

True; whoever believes in the Lord will be saved.  It doesn’t matter how many times they’ve heard the Gospel and rejected it and it doesn’t matter when they come to the Lord...as long as they don’t run out of time.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

For those who want to learn the Lord's way, certainly the Lord will teach it to them. What happens to the everybody else?

They deny God because they want to do what they want to do without answering to God.

People do not believe in anything they can't see or hear.

Pride is another example why people do not turn to God. They think they can live their life without God  and think that believing in a God is a weakness.

I imagine sooner or later your average person would choose paradise over eternal suffering.

Unfortunately many will not choose God. They will not realize they have made a terrible mistake until they get to Hades.

No; the natural man is hostile towards God, hates the light and will not come to it, does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, is spiritually blind and dead towards God in trespasses and sins.  He is a slave to sin, so cannot do anything except sin.

This is why Jesus told Nicodemus that you (plural) must be born again, in order to see, never mind enter, the kingdom of God.

Anyone who is a child of God, a true born again believer, will receive instruction from God.

So @Sower, your a moderator and example to us all for faith, and speak strongly about your beliefs, so who to you, is a true child of God.

God in His word says;

Ephesians 4:5-6

5) " one Lord, one faith, one baptism, (6) one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Then in Matthew 7:14 God says;

14) For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are "FEW" who find it.

So God says there are "FEW" who call themselves Christians, that will Go to heaven, and so I'm thinking not many will go be with God because God says there is only one choice for salvation, ONE CHOICE, but there are many choices man has created, some I listed below.

So @Sower what is the right choice "FOR SALVATION to you from below?

Some say they are saved by faith.

Some say they are saved through baptism in the Spirit.

Some say they are saved by inviting Jesus into their heart.

Some say they are saved by grace.

Some say they are saved through water immersion baptism.

Some say they are saved by believing.

Some say they are saved by praying the sinners prayer.

You get the idea.

What is your opinion???

Remember there is more to being a Christian than believing is Jesus, because even the Deamon's believed and shudder, James 2:19.

My name is Arrabon.

Don't know what being a moderator has to do with this.....

I was raised for many years in a false religion, believing I would go to heaven if I believed in God, worked hard to keep the church rules and regulations, sacraments, confessing sin to a man, prayed to the saints etc. Always fearful of dying with an unconfessed sin on my soul, and going straight to hell. After finally leaving the church, a total stranger later planted a seed, he told me I must be saved, born again, to see heaven. Had never heard those words before.
That seed was watered, added to, grew, and a child was born.   A second time.
I do speak strongly about my faith, sharing the light amongst the darkness of this present world, like that faithful stranger did for me.  This darkness can be found everywhere, even/especially here, where the enemy knows those seeking truth come. The battle field!  I have an obligation to pass on to those who have not heard the truth of the gospel of peace, God's word. As do we all have the responsibility.
It is not for me to judge another's salvation.
I do take the time, when witnessing, to ask simple questions, to listen to my spirit, to confirm understanding, or not, of their belief if any, and get direction in my spirit the direction for scripture to share. I take pleasure sharing the most important words a person may ever hear in their lifetime. Think on that.
Yes, I do speak strongly about my beliefs, Arrabon, hoping the seed takes root in good soil. Seekers, or saved.

I wonder your question, Arrabon.  My spirit is troubled.

Well, what does God say.

Those born of the spirit of God.

Sirs, what must I do to be saved   And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Romans 10:9-10 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:    Not of works, lest any man should boast.  (God's word)

The gospel is very simple.  Childlike simple.
It is obtained by (his)grace, through (my) faith.
Manny cannot accept that God did it all.
I work out my salvation, not for my salvation.
I could lose my salvation. If it was up to me.
But it is not my holding on to Him. (praise God)
It is God holding on to me.

"For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day"

Believing the word alone, accepting the grace alone, through faith alone.

He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

That believe, as a little child.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
