The kingdom is not about talk but about power, but on forums we are very limited...all we can do really is talk, and that only in writing.  God can still use it though...I know I've learned a lot, as well as stayed engaged, been encouraged, searched the scrips a lot, and my discernment has grown leaps and bounds due to my involvement on forums, which wouldn't have happened in churches because in churches there are other kinds of limitations.  I find there is generally a lot more freedom for people to speak their mind on forums than in churches....personally I'd rather see freedom with friction than no freedom without friction.

I do agree.....But I would rather see freedom with humility, the humbleness God has called us too

I am probably the last person to try and convince people to be gentle and kind, and yet it is not my word....it is God's  the vessel may be imperfect the message is pure

@Riverwalker my brother.

"GOD BLESS YOU FOR POSTING THIS." It was needed.

I have chosen to step away from "WORTHY" about a week ago, for a while, because of the problems you posted here, and the same problems everywhere else I have been.

I have dealt with these kind of things for many years in a variety of "CHRISTIAN SETTINGS", and need to step aside for awhile, as it's become too much for me to deal with, as I feel exhausted and spent, seeing all the discord between people who should be loving  each other and be in unity and harmony, uplifting one another, and helping each other grow, not just here, but many other places also.

God bless you for your courage, strength and resiliance, and your desire to see change.

My name is Arrabon

Yeah...I keep hearing Just walk away

Here lies a potential dilemma though. If we all just walk away from a post that needs addressing we don't have the full picture. You have had many great posts and opinions @Riverwalker. I think we need input from everyone. I appreciate your input here.

Maybe it's more the argumentative element you are referring to? We can reply to an argumentative person in a peaceful way and still get our point across. The intentionally argumentative person can and should be reported. If the doctrine is questionable I think it should be questioned. At least a balanced view should be shown to offset seeing something in the extreme. Continued examples showing a history of constant argument are reasons for me to simply walk away. Yeah, at that point it simply isn't worth expending the energy over it.

Thanks brother.

Heh Heh @Riverwalker if you only knew. We could probably trade stories about how we lost it in the past. I am part Irish you know.

The Lord has been working on me over time. It isn't me and I'm still not there yet.  I still have days where I need to just stay away from certain situations. I can see where the Lord has been working on me though and I don't respond the way I might have say five years ago. Just yesterday I was at  BJ's trying to scan at one of those self scan registers. Something hung up in one of my scans. The computer hung up on me with a notification saying help would be coming. Well I waited 10 minutes and no help was in sight. There were 10 people waiting behind me. Was I patient? No- I yelled across the store for someone to help because "people are waiting". Finally a flustered lady shows up and gets it working again. Was that a Christian thing to do? I don't know. All I know is something wasn't happening and something had to happen for things to work. I can be kinda outspoken like that in the right situation. I'm not proud of that and I have embarrassed my wife more than once.

Honestly, I find this place pretty mellow, but I have not been here that long compared to many so there may be history that I'm not aware of. I've heard the same complaints on other Christian boards I've been a member of. Sure there are disagreements and emotions come out in text as well. We are all human (as far as I know :)).

When we discuss something that is intrinsic to our being, something we have staked our beliefs on, I can understand how challenging deeply held convictions cause confusion, dissension and anger. It would be nice if we can all agree on those matters of secondary importance so we don't get out panties in a twist. Because at the end of the day, close to entire membership believe in the core tenets of Christianity.

And, like others have mentioned for every post I make I probably delete (or not even bother) 1 or 2 posts.

We have seen numerous disasters in our world. God is trying to warn us and call Himself to us. One of these days He will take action on this world and it will not be pretty.

You are probably right, but when it gets to be 5 or 6 times and the posts are just bouncing off like BBs shot a rock, it gets old

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
