Yes it is required, but lack of it is also forgiven

Paul doesn't take quite such a hard line in His writings. We should do ALL that we can with every effort, but for those things that we can't...he gives grace. And grace bridges the gap between what we should do and and what we can do.

2 Corinthians 12:9

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

It is important for us to be faithful. I am sure we will be judged on that.

Luke 18:7  And shall not God avenge his elect, that cry to him day and night, and he longsuffering over them?
18:8  I say unto you, that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he really find the faith on the earth?

Praise GOD our Father is faithful to what Christ has done.. He won't change.

Thank you..  its 2nd Thes 1:11 :) and its .. was praying for them that God will count them "worthy" of His calling.. . Is that the same as faithful?  Another verse "it is required of stewards that one be found faithful". Something came before this.. stewards of what? Back up a verse"Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God." So faithful.. being stewards of the mysteries of God..

TItus 1:9 "faithful" is this case is like saying hold firmly to the trustworthy/teaching message... the message they were taught. The faithful message.

All in all.. yes amen we need to be faithful... just context also matters

Hebrews 4:14-16

14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 10:23

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

And what does He promise to those who “hold fast”?  He promises mercy and grace to help us when we’re in need.  In my case, that’s every day.  My faithfulness = continuing in belief and abiding in Him, my only hope.

Let's go to 1 Peter 4: 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

So these are those keeping commandments, statues and Judgement, through out their walk in the word of God, Even though thing might get tough through your walk, can you keep it together to the in.

Because Paul says in 2 Timothy 3: 10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.  But let's take a look at what Moses says in Deuteronomy 7: 9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

@steve morrow

What I love about being her at Worthy, or any Christian forum, is that each of us are at a different place in our walk with Christ, and while each answer may be different to a question like this, and some will disagree with some answers, it's the answer that works each responder because that's where they are in their growth, and I don't think a lot of people think about that.

In a lot of cases answers may be very immature, while others may be more advanced, and so when someone posts a question, they usually have a pre-conceived idea of what the answer should be, and are surprised or maybe disagree with answers they get from some.

Many questions can have many many correct answers to the responders, that are opposed to each other, because responders knowledge are at different levels, and responders just need to grow into the right truth, from the "MILK" of the word, unto the "MEAT" of the word.

The knowledge of Gods word is always expanding in the mind and heart of every believer who is continually studying Gods word and praying for wisdom, as they "grow from faith to faith" (One level of faith to another), Romans 1:17.

No one has the corner on all truth but God, all others are opinions to be challenged and at times disagreed

with.

◄ 1 Corinthians 11:18 ►

"For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it. 19For there must also be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you."

Someone who studies in Greek, will have a deeper more complete answer than someone who has been a believer for just a few years.

Good things to think about I believe.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
