Just to be clear: frequency and/or intensity of earthquakes has not increased since people have been recording the data . Severe and changing weather patterns do seem to be happening, and these are generally more pronounced in the higher latitudes. Increased global temperatures could certainly feed the more intense weather events.

As to the biblical context (usually referenced to Luke 21:11), all it says is that there will be wars, earthquakes, famines, diseases and other fearful events, but these are in relation to coming destruction of Jerusalem and the temple.

The use of hyperbolic language is so prevalent these days that they've become almost worthless. As an example, I recall seeing a letter-to-the-editor in our local rag where someone wrote that cutting down a few cottonwoods by the river a "tragedy". Sorry, that does not constitute a tragedy.

Everyone is shouting to get their voice heard or attention to their cause. In the noise of social media, it's easy to get lost so the language gets ramped up. 

There are certainly legitimate events that are "unprecedented" or whatnot, but it's become so hard to filter out the legitimate from the mundane.

You probably know or have heard of a Dr. Kent Hovind? In my opinion, he is one of the most knowledgeable people of our day on the flood, creation and the dinosaur's. He held a lifelong pre-tribulation view, but changed it, and now vehemently believes it occurs at the sixth Seal Judgment. 

Thanks @Dennis1209. I am still working through all scriptural connections. I think my views started to change when I read scriptures that seemed to disagree with what I was being told. The trumpets is a good study. It might not change your view. I am not attempting to change anyone else's view. References to our being taken up hinge on a trumpet sounding. If a person misses even one shred of info on the 'rapture' it's very easy to come to a different conclusion. I don't claim to have found it all out. I keep reading and studying. I am convinced as of now though that God doesn't dip below the clouds for all Christians before hell on earth breaks loose. The Israelites were 400 years in captivity under Pharaoh. This isn't to say we aren't in God's hand. He never let's us go- "Oh No You Never Let Go".

This is a bitter sweet thought for me. If I make it that far which I readily admit I have little chance of doing. If I made it that far though, as in being alive in my physical body when he returns, it will mean I have probably been through a lot by then and might have preferred death to that wait. The dead will have had it pretty good in comparison to what the saints will likely go through just prior to the Lord's return. I believe God will insulate us from the punishment and judgement intended for the evil lost, though we might suffer indirectly in ways I can only guess. I mean, look at how bad things are already. Aren't we sort of in that to some extent now?

I've had constant conversations with these "woke frogs" since my first forum postings way back in ~1998. 

What is happening to the world right now is quite clear to me. It's one of the reasons I moved from Seattle to rural KY in 2011, and it's gotten exponentially worse since then. And the other side is "all in" on this. They are in "scorched earth" mode. That is, they will do whatever it takes to win this, even if it means nobody wins. 

But we are just visiting this life. It is a mist. And I see it almost as a "boot camp" or "test" for believers. And I do my best to live by the Apostle Paul's words: To live is Christ and to die is gain.

I'm not going to try to figure all of it out. I admit my mind wanders into those areas at times, then I think that this probably isn't what the lord would have me do, build an underground bunker and stash food away in it. He tells us not to worry and I think it applies to all times and places. If I happened to have access to some kind of protection, say a bunker or access to provisions I would use them if I needed them. In just sitting thinking about it all I arrived at the conclusion to just let it in God's hands. If I can find a way out I'll take it. If I can't I'll look to the Lord's hand. Like probably everyone else I keep some provisions for a very short time. The Amish around here are expert at living off the grid, even in the middle of winter....and this is one of the first things an enemy will do, look to destroy the power grid and our internet communications.

Wealthy evil men all have these things at a level few imagine- underground houses, alternate energy sources like small nuclear reactors and all sorts of things we can't imagine, yet the Lord says they will all run into the caves full of fear when the Lord judges them all. None of their protections will be enough. I suspect this is why some of them are looking at relocating to other planets.

Many of the translations are very close on most things. It's these small things in various places of a given translation that might have potential to send a person off in the wrong direction. If I am having trouble with something I'll look at different translations, go back to the original language meanings, spare myself the foot notes and personal and opinions in some of those. A commentary is just that- Comments from someone as to what they THINK it means. Many times they are helpful. Other times they aren't.

What seems like sci fi conspiracy is here. We HAVE implants and are using them in monkeys now. I find these arguments often try to find a balance between comments. There's always someone saying there's nothing to see and don't think about any of this stuff. There's the person who thinks we are in tin foil hat territory and can't imagine even having a discussion about it. For me- I don't like to look at it because it's ugly. I just want to be informed. Is it the MOB? Some here say this already happened. I am not of that opinion for obvious reasons to me. When wealthy transhumanists and covert satanists start to dump money into odd companies producing odd things I think it's worth a look. They can drop 3 billion dollars into something that didn't exist before. These are the same evil people who want to control everyone else and are sacrificing innocent people ( quite literally) to do it.

As I say though. They all think they work for a boss who has some concern for them. In reality they are just tools of the devil who uses them. They will all be under my boss one day .Their boss will be thrown in hell.. It doesn't go any higher than our God Yahweh. The buck stops with Him. Thank God it does because these other clowns are royally messing up everything around us.

But what did this Verse, what it states specifically have to do with America?

And I do admit, this is the first connection to America from Joseph I recall.

I believe a lot of predictions are as close to things we discover within our own beings.

 

Someone has an issue.

You pray for it and you do see this is going to be reversed.

You tell the person suffering.

It happens just as you believed God explained to you.

 

Now, that is not a prediction on a large scale involving billions or millions of people.  But it is a prediction, that if God speaks again in a like mannerism, you can know for certain this is about to happen and you are able to forewarn more than just immediate people.   And eventually, God could take that to speaking to an audience much larger in order to get His Word out.

 

It's a progression of trial/error, Faith, and seeing it happen.
