The word is also found in these verses.

malakos (μαλακός, 3120), “soft, soft to the touch” (Lat., mollis, Eng., “mollify,” “emollient,” etc.), is used (a) of raiment, Matt. 11:8 (twice); Luke 7:25; (b) metaphorically, in a bad sense, 1 Cor. 6:9, “effeminate,” not simply of a male who practices forms of lewdness, but persons in general, who are guilty of addiction to sins of the flesh, voluptuous.

Thats a benefit of being willing to look to antiquity and greek sources to understand why a latin [molles] or greek [malakos] term is translated the way it is translated and to sense in derivation the enormity of not being judgemental yet knowing the gravity of what is being given us in the preserved Word of God.

Yup---I have many resources that I refer to when some clarity is needed or desired.

There is a massive body of work that has been produced by my siblings over the centuries and I am encouraged by this.

The only thing we ever read where God disclaims that we know Same Sex is wrong, is God made Male and Female to procreate.   Not happening in Same Sex Partnerships.   But God called the intimate act between Same Sex as being an ABOMINATION.

 

 

So, the Word of God does not come right out and declare people who may struggle with finding the Same Sex attractive as being <Guilty> of any wrong doing. But the Word of God does declare being intimate between Same Sex is a flat out Abomination.

Lets also look at Genesis 2:18 (NASB)

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”

So God, right from the beginning, instituted suitable relationships. And yes, the Matthew passage does indeed address homosexual activities. Scripture elsewhere says sex of any kind outside of marriage between a man and a woman is unsuitable. God is the author and designer of marriage right from the beginning.

Interesting that Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:2 spells out what suitable relationships look like

But because of sexual immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband.

He doesn't say... its ok for guys to have a boyfriend for a spouse and gals to have girlfriend for a spouse Paul iterates what God says is suitable and appropriate. “Each man is to have his own wife” And “each woman is to have her own husband”

It is pretty clear from the few scriptures I've posted that any homosexual scenario is totally inappropriate. Anyone who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves.

Matthew 5:28

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

The above passage is an outline that sin originates from the heart and mind. And if a person dwells on a wrong desire in his/her heart and nurses the desire... sin has a place to grow and will then manifest itself outwardly. Homosexuals, like everybody else are not immune to lusting in the heart.

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
