How many died from the flu today?  I'm sorry, but I don't believe the numbers....before Corona, lots of people were dying from the plain old flu....now, hardly anyone dies from the plain old flu and everyone dies from some strain of Corona.  Just doesn't add up.

The 'gold standard' PCR test cannot tell the difference between the flu and Covid 19, or other Coronas, so it's all rolled up into what they call Covid 19.  You are wise to be skeptical.

Sparks, that is completely false. PCR testing is highly specific because the tests are designed to be unique to the sequence being detected. I can explain this if you want to learn.

Look at the statistics I don't think the Covid is worse than the current flu.

hi missmuffet

I came across this article which has info about both flu and covid

https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/coronavirus/coronavirus-disease-2019-vs-the-flu

Also this is an article on the Usa cdc website which has a table which shows statistics such as number of deaths in Usa from flu..  for the past several years..

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/index.html

Also this website might have some statistics on covid for Usa  (and possibly for other countries too?)

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/region/united-states

Just wanted to share.  I hope it helps.

Thanks.

CDC estimates that the burden of illness during the 2018–2019 season included an estimated 35.5 million people getting sick with influenza, 16.5 million people going to a health care provider for their illness, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths from influenza (Table 1). The number of influenza-associated illnesses that occurred last season was similar to the estimated number of influenza-associated illnesses during the 2012–2013 influenza season when an estimated 34 million people had symptomatic influenza illness6.

If you don't believe the numbers then there really isn't much to discuss with you.

Yes, the mortality rate of COVID-19 is higher than types A, B, and C influenza. As it stands right now, more people have died in the United States from COVID-19 than any other nation in this world. Over 630,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 since March 2020.

Sorry, this is simply not true.

Official John Hopkins tally, true; actual number of Americans who actually died FROM Covid, utterly false.

You are right Tammy. Millions have died from a number of viruses and other things. Has anyone ever had to wear a mask for these illnesses? Has anyone ever lost their job from these illnesses? There is not a safe vaccine for Covid so we just need to take precautions and you will be ok. It is those who get careless  are those in jeopardy. We need to ask God to surround us with His protection with this virus and vaccine.

Numbers can be incorrect.

Yes; and from the governments that are becoming totalitarian, using Covid as an excuse...

So what's to talk about.  At that point it turns to personal experience and that means everyone needs to be vaccinated and most likely take the booster shot, because none of us want to go through what my friends have experienced
