Yes, because the entire sacrificial system pointed to Christ, and Christ fulfilled it. Paul goes into quite a bit of detail on that in Galatians 3 and following.

True, but I think it's a little more detailed than that. Hebrews 9:22 (KJV) And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Prior to Christ's resurrection, sin was temporarily covered by animal sacrifice. God Himself provided the first temporary animal sacrifice for Adam & Eve. In Old Testament times, they looked forward to the Cross. In our age of Grace, we look back at the Cross, and the permanent perfect sacrifice for sin.

But what about the resumption of animal sacrifice during Christ's 1,000-year reign [cf. Eze. 40:39; 45:15; Zech. 14:8-21; Rev. 20:4-6; Eze. 40:-48:]? I believe it is symbolic, looking back, a remembrance of what Christ did for us. Much like the Lord's Supper [communion] we observe in remembrance and appreciation of Christ today.

Agree / disagree; your thoughts?

Anyway, other than 'hate', I cannot think of a stronger word used in the Bible? And without repentance, I would associate the two strongest words in the Bible [hate - abomination], with the strongest everlasting words one could hear: Matthew 7:23 (KJV) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Yes they are all scavengers. What they like to call bottom dwellers at the bottom of the food chain. Someday God will redeem even them. All of creation will be redeemed and restored. "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now." Romans 8:22

I understand that is how you believe, but I don't believe that. I believe that the ENTIRE BIBLE is God's Word.  The NT does not wipe out the OT or replace it.  They are in completely harmony if understood correctly.

Matthew 5:29–30 (AV)
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Matthew 7:1–6 (AV)
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

James 2:10 (AV)
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Galatians 3:11 (AV)
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Galatians 3:24–25 (AV)
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

John 3:16–18 (AV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I've learned to climb down from the soapbox of self righteousness and share the love of Christ with everyone as the Bible says. It's all about faith / belief in Christ. The details of how we all live out that life of faith is between God and each individual. For anyone who casts the stones of judgment would have boulders of wrath dropped on their heads for all our own sins we dismiss and whitewash.

I challenge anyone to list any sin God cannot / will not forgive other than unbelief in Christ Jesus (John 3:18).

I also challenge those who would condemn others to witness to them lovingly, not judgmentally...

Just F.Y.I. the Ku Klux Klan twists the very scriptures that prove God's love  into hate.

God hates all sin! All sin cost the blood Jesus.

God did so to save sinners.

Ye who art sinless, cast the first stone.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
