Florida Registers Nation’s Lowest COVID Case Numbers

Florida is now outperforming every state in the contiguous United States in terms of new COVID-19 cases per capita. And they did it all without a Vax Pass system, widespread business closures, mask mandates, and/or draconian lockdowns.

Outside of Hawaii and select outlying U.S. territories, Florida has the lowest COVID case rate in America.

And it all happened under the leadership of a man who the corporate media and ruling class have taken to labeling “DeathSantis” for his refusal to implement draconian COVID policies, such as mandatory masks, pharmaceutical injection mandates, business closures, and the like. Source

Im not good with math  but you are....we have a poplation of 21.48 million residents......what percentage is that,pretty low?

   The topic is not about the tragic loss of peoples loved ones due to Covid, having high or low numbers of deaths means nothing to them.

 The op is about Florida having far less than other states per capita and how our Gov is sonehow being accused of attributing to more cases- when in fact there is nothing to support that

Total deaths per million for Florida is 10th in the country. Considering the age of the population that's not bad.

Agreed, there are plenty of governors that have done a poor job of managing the pandemic. DeSantis is frequently and unfairly singled out.

    I have a question I'd like to ask you.....perhaps this is not the appropriate place because its off-Topic,but gee I'm gonna ask anyway...

    What do you think about booster shots,do you think they are really necessary 6 months after the initial vax(complete ,whether the 1 or 2 dose).....just wondering your take ....I have my opinions & they are mixed

Ha! My opinions are mixed, too. I am currently in a study now that is measuring antibody levels over time. If I remember correctly, I'll have another blood draw in a month to check levels and compare to my first reading. Personally, I will be getting a booster shortly after it is approved, but I think getting people fully vaccinated should be a much higher priority than getting boosters.

There is evidence showing that neutralizing antibody levels drop several months after vaccination, but the memory B and memory T cell response hasn't been sufficiently studied. Those memory cells should be able to quickly restore high levels of antibody quickly after infection. We just don't yet have enough information to really make strong recommendations for boosters.
