Anyone had any strange dreams lately?

Was just wondering because last night i had kind of a scary one...i was basically waiting in a downtown type area with some other people and then noticed a line of very young people, maybe even teenagers, walking by and sounded like they were singing that song "I'd like to teach the world to sing"? (You can find it on Youtube if you're not familiar with it.) Anyway almost immediately after they were gone, out of nowhere come these large utility type vehicles, kind of like the ones with the cranes, some longer than others. But they were going so fast that it took them almost no time to block off the streets and almost any possible exit. Then i noticed what looked like an abandoned shop so i went in to hide and saw people running by, and then it ended. But just thought i would throw that out there in case anyone else had some similar dreams.

(Also i forgot to mention that these vehicles seemed to be partly orange in color.)

Your dream sounds a lot more believable than most of mine. I believe things here are going to take their course. I had sort of hoped I might miss most of that. Now I'm not so sure. There will probably come a day in the not too distant future where certain groups of people are cornered and taken away. Why else would trucks block off the roads? Why else would you be hiding?

 

 I periodically have the most odd dreams sometimes. I had a string of dreams about the same house in various states of disrepair. Early on I would dream it was in really bad shape. One with no roof to speak of. This was way beyond a fixer upper. Then I would dream about the same house more fixed up. One time I  dreamed it was complete. The house wasn't any house I was familiar with but it resembled one of my childhood homes. Then I would dream about other houses I've never seen before.

I'm not a builder or a contractor by trade and I don't think about houses during the day, so this was odd. I gathered from it that maybe God was showing me the state of my spiritual home or me at times? 

The other night I dreamed about this house close to water that had flooded and they (or we) were trying to ascertain fixing it up. This was a different house. I had a similar dream that included some of the same terrain in the other dreams. Basically there was this one place at a lake community and I remember multiple dreams of the same shoreline, almost like there was some significance to that area? Every time I would dream I would be back 'there' in some other slightly different context. I remember seeing a large bridge near it. I was talking with others there once and seeing small piers, but I don't have any recollection what they were saying. I remember it being either close to evening or overcast. It reminded me of backwoods Florida, or down south somewhere, but I had never been to these places and I don't live next to water now nor have I ever lived that close to water. Once I was out in the lake there on a small boat looking for something. This must have been a series of 5 or 6 dreams all connected somehow. Same as the house renovation dreams, same house, multiple dreams. No familiarity with either.

Not too long ago I had some dreams that were most frustrating. I was in a place I could not recognize while driving around in a vehicle. It was as if someone just dropped me there into a vehicle in unfamiliar territory instantly. I didn't know where I was. I was just driving around attempting to figure it out but not finding any point of reference. Like someone blindfolded me and took me thousands of miles from my home. Almost the way I imagine someone with Alzheimer's disease might feel when they forget where they are and get lost. This happened to me more than once in more than one dream but I would be in different places. Once I was on foot. Once I was driving a van. It's a very bad dream to have when you're in it because you have no idea where you are or where you're going.

Then there was the dream I feel certain was a dream about apostasy. A spider with a main body the size of a basketball came by me and a few others in what looked like a small city park area on a nice summer's day. Everyone just stood there flabbergasted watching it half roll and half run at high speed right up the steps of a church on the other side of the small park. It was a light color. Not quite white and not dark either. Sort of in between. Like spider egg sack color. It moved so fast I couldn't make out the details on it. Just as we followed it into the church it shot up into an attic access hole to hide up there. I have never had another dream like that one. This thing was VERY agile and moved faster than anything I've ever seen before. It's odd, but at the time I wasn't afraid of it. I would think a person SHOULD be wary of coming close to it but we followed it. The meaning to me was: Apostasy is moving at blinding speed into our local churches and hiding out there to do harm to the body and destruction to the church. It was very cunning. It was very agile and it seemed to have a clear purpose.

Now I'm not arachnophobic. I would not like a spider dropping into my shirt or having one on my face, but I mainly see them as just insects. I hadn't watched any scary spider movies, so I don't think the dream was buried in my subconscious. I seen it as maybe  representative of stealthy attack on churches. Otherwise it makes no sense whatsoever.  I guess there are many dreams that never seem to make any sense.

In the lake dream I had wondered if something was pointing me to a location where something bad had happened. There seemed to be something I was looking for. It was all really unclear, especially since I had no identifications to where this place was. It's a shame I didn't see more if that's what it was. It's not as if someone was telling me specifics. Just hints of something. More questions than answers. I remember the topography of the shore line. That was repeated several times in more than one dream. People in my dreams are not usually clearly defined. It's like they are standing off to the side and I don't really see them. I know they are there and I might be following some of what they say but that's it.

Well it's kind of weird that you mentioned that dream because i have a seasonal job doing most of the work at their residence which is right on a lake with their own pier with many others around as well. And this is also btw down here in Georgia, actually the north part of the state. But anyway just thought i would mention that, and most of my dreams are also about being in houses and buildings, or just locations in general where nothing much is going on, but it just seems like it's always about a place in particular. Maybe it's somewhere God is calling me to, idk? But maybe it's something you should pray about before going to sleep, and that if these dreams are important then God would give you some more insight or even a sign as to where this place(s) is, and if it's where you should be? But either way you will usually know if it's something from your subconscious(which most dreams are) or if God is actually trying to show you something.

So when you look for communication from God through feelings, intuitions or dreams you are looking outside of the designed parameters of what He has taught us in His Word of how we should know Him and His Will...

My dreams are always weird. I don't give my dreams much importance.

I had some very strange dreams the other week when I had a high fever due to Covid.  I saw words, out of focus, scattered around like jig-saw puzzle pieces and I had to put them together.  I couldn't because I could not make out the words.  Talk about frustrating!  This went on for three days, as I slept most of the time, then the fever broke.  Never had any dreams like that before and I pray I never will again.

Years ago, when I had a bad stomach-flu-like virus, I had this constant repetition of images blazing through my mind. Just would not stop - it was exhausting. When the fever finally broke, it stopped. Crazy.

Interesting  coincidence. In my dream off to the right there is an outcropping of water plants past a pier, maybe extending to 30ft and then an opening big enough for boats past that, then a shoreline. I can't tell if it keeps going to the right or if it ends in a shore line a little further back. If I look further out straight ahead I see the larger part of the water that seems to go on for quite a ways. That's where I took the boat in my dream. There were two or three piers not too far apart along the shore I was standing on, like it was maybe a few closer cottages behind me. A bridge seemed to be to the left but I'm not sure how far. There were people there but it was getting dark or overcast and so it wasn't clear.I couldn't make much of that out. The few people that were there seemed to have a common discussion or goal. I didn't get the sense it was necessarily bad or evil. Just people talking close to dark.

Most of my dreams are of damaged or unfinished structures when I see them or am in them. In the one dream where I was lost I ended up in some very large almost empty and kinda creepy warehouse asking the occupants where I was lol. Like a VERY large multi bay garage that was only being partially used. Maybe a truck terminal. 

I think praying for protection over our thoughts is a good idea before we go to sleep. I feel the same way though, these dreams are like a very incomplete picture of the whole and they are sometimes about the same places. In my dreams the main uneasiness comes from not knowing where it is. I have more questions than answers usually.

Many many years ago I had some really scary ones as a child. Once I dreamed there were bugs all over me. I mean I was completely covered in bugs and I couldn't move. I believe that one was evil sent because I could see my dad trying to awake me but I still felt the bugs. He came into my room because I was screaming. It took some time to come out of that one. It was as if I was partially awake and partially still in the dream. I also remember seeing something nude with a woman's face on a horse who really wasn't a woman. She had fangs like a tiger and she had come for me. I jumped inhumanly high and she was no longer behind me. Years later I would ask if that one was my ex wife. It was odd because I seen her on the old unpaved church parking lot,the horse was rearing on it's back legs, so there was some context there. We lived next to the church at that time. I got the  distinct feeling this thing hated me and was after me to kill me.

There are lots of books on dream interpretations. I think the several examples we have of dreams in the bible encourage some to look deeper into it. Most of those books are not from a Christian perspective and in fact are probably coming from the other side, so I don't consult them. I read one book written by a woman who was supposedly a Christian, but I don't think she really was because a lot of what she was saying sounded more like she was a witch. She claimed God gave her the ability to interpret dreams.

I think we need to be really careful because it can become a form of divination which is a sin in the bible. If God gives me a dream I believe He will eventually give me the interpretation to it. Lots of books claim to know what different common things mean in dreams. I am highly skeptical.

Sounds like the same experience.  Never made any sense from beginning to end, but it was a puzzle for me to solve.   Could likely be because I do puzzles online when I'm trying to unwind.
