That is great. I like to see a guy who can sew, cook, wash clothes, use a vaccum cleaner and a dishwasher. A guy who can sustain himself.  But doing that us not feminine.

But doing that is not feminine.

Those 'skills' were definitely needed during my bachelor days.
Now being married, my wife does it all, and  won't allow me to use her 'tools'.
She says she doesn't go in my shop and use my tools and to not use hers.
She is very particular about her  'space' and how she maintains order.
I say no problemo.  To be a real macho man is to understand;

Some men are going to be on the defense at only the mention of " Macho man complex". :noidea:

When i search google for "macho man complex" i get some kind of exercise. LoL... Its not a medical condition. To be honest it just sounds like another concept invented by feminists to trash men and try make us more feminine.

Its exactly like "toxic masculinity". So off course some of us are going to dislike the concept, its an attack on manhood that has been happening for quite a while now.

Your description of it is very vague. Being domineering and controlling is not cool and i know plenty women like that. In fact women in positions of power tend to abuse their position more than men which is why the bible says men are supposed to lead, not women.

But whats wrong with being proud of being manly? Their just trying to trash manhood. Id rather be a macho man than a soy boy

It could be more an issue of women not submitting to men as the bible orders. That could be the real issue here. I watched a guy on the net go into a shopping center and ask women if they submit to their men and nearly all of them answered no in a hostile manner. Many women want to be stronger than men. Thats why they prefer effeminate men to dominate over

But thats todays world... Feminism has created women to be more like men and men to be more like women. Masculinity is demonized and even femininity is being perverted as well. This is why there are so many people confused about their sexuality and gender...

Men are not toxic... Feminism is

You are on the defense and not wanting to admit there is a macho behavior. That is your choice.

You didn't address any of my arguments

All your doing is promoting misandry and division with your toxic feminist doctrines

I'm macho and masculine and proud of it

@missmuffet and @Warrior of truth

I think you are both right depending on your sampling.

It is true that a statistically significant men bully women and do not treat them as their equal. Especially in areas which were traditionally viewed as the man's domain. Managerial roles, Engineering..

It is also true that women use 'toxic masculinity' as an excuse to 'guilt' men and bully them. I myself have experienced it. I was called a 'misogynist' for not wanting to join a small group because there were not enough men whereas women always complain about how they don't feel comfortable in an environment where there aren't enough women.

The way I see it is it comes down to this.

Genesis 3:16

“I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing;
in pain you shall bring forth children.
Your desire shall be contrary to your husband,
but he shall rule over you.”

Because of the fall there is always gonna be this 'battle of sexes'. We are called to be humble and treat others as more significant

Philippians 2:3

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

Are not both men and women flesh? And sinners.

Are not men and women different critters? Different make up and roles.

What does scripture teach us?

Within those roles the Life of Christ would temper each.

The world and those outside of Christ have all kinds of crazy notions…that is not who we are. Oil and water.

Have you ever heard of the macho man complex? They can be domineering, have a lot of pride in their manliness, and male virility. They can also be controlling. Know any males like that?

I don't know the intent of the question, but in twenty years of service, I've personally met hundreds of them. Not to confuse the issue, let's define the meaning of a couple of words for clarity:

macho /ˈmatʃəʊ/

  ■ adjective masculine in an overly assertive or aggressive way.
  ■ noun machismo.
—ORIGIN 1920s: from Mexican Spanish, ‘masculine or vigorous’.

The masculine property of being capable of copulation and procreation. The trait of being manly; having the characteristics of an adult male.

feminism

  ■ noun the advocacy of women’s rights on the grounds of sexual equality.
  —DERIVATIVES feminist noun & adjective
—ORIGIN 19th century: from French féminisme.

Catherine Soanes and Angus Stevenson, eds., in Concise Oxford English Dictionary (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2004).

If it were not for the "macho man complex" and men like Audie Murphy, we would most likely be speaking German or Japanese. Of the two categories defined above, which do we want to protect our freedoms to ask dumb questions without oppression and reprisal?

Yeah, I know males like that, as with our U.S. history and what we're facing today, I'm proud to know them and be associated with "macho men." I'll refrain from mentioning what feminism has brought us today, with lower standards and such.

There is no such thing as "macho man complex", "rape culture" or "toxic masculinity"... They are concepts invented by feminazis to trash men. The only thing toxic is feminism...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
