You are correct that John is referencing The Roman Empire when using Babylon since Babylon was the greatest of Old Testament empires he would be relating it to the current greatest empire ( Rome) to his readers, I also think it could be a reference to the destruction of any empire that would persecute the church such as nazi Germany for example, they burned churches and killed priests or anyone that went against hitlers ideology so Babylon could have multiple meanings 

BUT it is true Johns book focused a lot on the Roman Empire ,. The seven heads.. the 7 emperors, the wounded head being Nero, the number 666 is the numerical equivalent of the name and title Nero Caesar  according to Hebrew numerology and the fact that at the time of writing it was a belief called “ Neros resurrection” that Nero’s spirit was causing further persecution through the current emperor,… so the head comes back to life, his readers would know of this theory at the time,. So you are spot on with the relationship of the beast and especially Babylon meaning Rome

I'm re-reading mine in these last days so that it's easier to identify the peoples talked about in the bible.

I don't hold to the ten tribes becoming other nations. Like the tribe of Joseph is supposed to be the United States and great Britain. But I do believe the USA will lose to Europe with Germany as it's head.

Rome does not rule the world. It's Islam that's killing the saints in these age. Watch Europe.

Is that not a preterist view ? I find it's lacking in a lot of ways. The head wounded unto death is a empire. When it comes back to life the world will wonder.the 8 head comes from the seventh head. So if Hitler's Reich was the seventh head. There a coming of a fourth reich.which include all of Europe.

When it comes to the "Lost 10 Tribes of Israel" and also to British Israel there are whole libraries of academic scholarship and historical studies on these two topics.

Biblical prophecy upholds this as well.

That is wishful thinking. Germany is not a great power and is about to be economically destroyed by foolishly kowtowing to the maniacs of Washington in placing numerous economic sanctions on Russia. 

When Germany cannot or will not pay for her oil and gas in Russian roubles then her economy will stop. The German government is a coalition of left and right parties held together only by their opposition to Angela Merkel and the Christian Democratic Union.

Once inflation and stagnation cripples living standards in Germany with rationing of food and energy Germany, like other members of the E.U. and NATO, will also suffer severe political protests and violence.

When the gas stops then Germany will stop [and freeze].
