Question about Babylon

Apostate Israel.  They are most certainly responsible for the blood of prophets and saints.  The question is who are they today?  And where is their power base?  Do you think that buildings within a geographical region are guilty of shed blood?

PS, yes apostate Israel. That is where the city that sits on seven hills is located.

There are apostate Jews in there, and also Apostate Christians.  If we read the letters to the 7 churches, we see they will also receive of the plagues. 

Satan not only wants to rule over all the kingdoms of the earth, but over all the Christians.  He uses Babylon to deceive and rob the Christians of their treasures, by spreading lies and false doctrines.  He tempts them also with material things, and this is his main goal...to never release them from his captivity, or to draw them back to him.

In the larger context, I agree. 

Have you ever thought about the two evil entities, the harlot and the ten horns, and why there is such hatred between them?  The destruction of the harlot by the 10 horns is not a small thing.

Much of what we see around the world today is a result of that struggle.  Both the harlot and the 10 horns are vying for global control.

If you want to equate the seven crowned heads of Satan (and subsequently the beast) with piles of dirt, that's up to you.  Mountains are often used as a metaphor for kingdoms as is the case in Rev 17:9. 

Daniel 10 sheds some light on those spiritual kingdoms, namely Persia and Greece with the mention of the prince of Persia and the kings of Persia, and the prince of Greece.  Of course those spiritual kingdoms of Satan had natural manifestations.

This verse is accurate.

It speaks for itself and I have no problem understanding which city it is speaking of.

I just don't see their powerbase as having recently been, or as currently being, in Jerusalem.  It has been more of a Western Europe / USA thing through the likes of the central banking system, blackmailed politicians, narrative control, etc.

The ten horns are loosening the grip of the harlot.  Her days are numbered.  When the ten horns rise as kings for an hour then we will know the identity of the city.

I'm sure you will fiqure it out before the beast attacks that city. Keep in mind, the ten Kings hate the woman. Can you not think of any countries near apostate Israel who would like to destroy it? I remember reading there are more than 200,000 missiles with Israel's name on them. I'm sure you can think of a few kings who would love to do apostate israel in.

Yes thought about it a lot.  The harlot stands for the commerce and trade side of things in Babylon.  That type of system where nations get rich or plundered.  It's all about the material world and gaining wealth.  Individuals can get rich also by becoming self made millionaires, and all the people love to buy their goods.  We depend on it really, well some of it.

When the 10 kings strip the whore naked and eat her flesh, they are just doing away with that commerce and trade type of system.  They have all the money they need, and don't want us to have any of it.  They want a class system and will turn us into slaves only giving us enough for the bare essentials, but first they have to bankrupt this system so everyone loses and will depend on the new Mark of the beast system.  In my opinion, they will introduce it as a good thing at first, fair for all, everyone housed and fed, no poor on the streets, but it will back fire on the rich especially, because the beast takes all they have as well.  This is the howling in Rev 18 of all the merchants.  Everyone left with nothing, or very little.  All the nice things will be gone.  The factories will all be owned by the beast but he will have little time to enjoy it because of all the plagues coming on the earth.

Revelation chapter 18 explains it nicely. 

So think of the harlot as the enticer for kings, nations and peoples to strive for her material goods.  Once everyone is drunk on all this, and it's taken away, there is nothing left to offer.  Old system gone and a new world order coming.
