That is a good point. Jesus is our role model and we are to do our best to walk in His footsteps. I do not recall at any time Jesus walked the earth that He laughed or had fun, a good time. 

Then again, we were created with attributes to laugh, enjoy, and have occasional fun.

Well… I guess we also cannot assume that our Lord didn’t laugh or have fun either… he did attend weddings..maybe he laughed/had fun with his family/friends there?

(He was however known as a Man of sorrows, acquainted with grief)

When I was a little girl my Dad would read the Bible to me, he would also tell me Bible stories in the most simple way that I could understand- he was quite animated & such a fantastic story teller, he could hold anyones interest- especially little children, because he loved them so.

 Of course, having a wonderful relationship with my Dad made it so easy to relate to my Heavenly Father and to Understand what unconditional love is- if only all kids had a Dad like mine- they would run to Jesus the moment they heard He is the Way to our Father.... As my Dad said to me "our Father in Heaven" loves you more than anyone, even me"  

My favorite story told to me by my Dad was that Jesus Loves the little children.... I know, youre thinking such a little verse where Jesus Says" let them come to me" but its not how my Dad told it:

 Jesus was very busy as the crowd of Moms & Dads brought their children to be Blessed by Jesus. The Apostles tried to keep the crowds from Jesus because He Had important things to do, heal the sick, give sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, make cripples walk and other business to attend.

Children are to be seen& not heard, but Jesus listened to them call out His Name""Jesus, Jesus, Jesus"-the Apostles said" leave Him alone, He goes about His Fathers business!" But Jesus Said"No, let the children come to me"as He sat down on a park bench. And all the children ran to Jesus, jumping on his lap, hugging on his neck and legs and Jesus laughed, playing with all of them because He Loves them most of all!

 So Ive always pictured Jesus smiling, laughing and having fun..... It was so easy to imagine because that is exactly the way my Dad was with all my cousins & friends kids.

I dont know about " fun" in Eternity but I Know about Joy.... I have the Joy of the Lord now in spite of all situations in a corrupt, dying world- I cannot imagine the Joy in His Presence and in a Perfect world!

Once when visiting a local ice cream frosty freeze shop, I ordered a couple ice cream cones for my wife and I. I noticed that there were 2 employees there I had never seen before, and they appeared to be alone running the place and the owner was absent.

I asked one of the crazy looking dudes how big the medium sized cones were, and he replied "Dude, you will not be disappointed!" After paying for the cones, he shouted to the guy in the back my order, and said "He will NOT be disappointed!". And I watched as the guy other guy kept scooping the ice cream higher and higher and I had to tell the guy at the counter to 'tell him to stop because it is too much to eat'.

When he gave me the ice cream cones, he looked at me and said "You are NOT disappointed!"

Its a funny little story, and I imagine that when the owner came back to his shop He was confused about how he ran out of ice cream for the days business. BUT on the way home the Spirit of God started to teach me in His still small voice and said to me; "Ray if you will simply love me, spend time with me, and serve me doing whatever I tell you, no matter how small or big, I promise you will NOT be disappointed".

Simply stated: When we come into eternity with our Lord and Savior we will not be bored, or, be in any way lacking in enjoyment. Right Now He is telling us 'you will NOT be disappointed'. When we see Jesus face to face I believe He will declare to us " YOU ARE NOT DISAPPOINTED!"
