Um, Card...I'm not trying to hide my talent in the dirt. I'm disabled and very ill...but I feel very guilty that I can't do what I used to do.

I feel guilt upon guilt. I think that maybe I could do more.....

Oh, I don't wrestle with the old sins of my life as a lost person...those old sins (lying, stealing, vice, sexual immorality, gossip, et al) aren't a problem now.

It's not making use of my talents. When I was healthy, I had bodily strength and could serve God. Now, I agonize over not being able to do the things I used to do.

So, I get so upset when I don't pray as much or read my bible as much. I'm too weak to attend church or witness; I can only do such things online.

When I do get out (*which isn't often) I do distribute tracts...but it's not much compared to what I used to do. Now, I just feel defeated and frightened that God is displeased with me.

Hey cats, little sister, stop beating up on your self. As we grow older none of us can keep up the pace in doing God's work. Even Moses had to have help to hold his hand up in the air.

You are still serving the Lord by being part of this ministry for starters besides all your witnessing, caring for Bill and taking cookies to ungodly people in order to sow seeds. God knows your heart, sis and so do the regular posters on this board. Don't allow yourself to be sidetracked by the likes of card who is a walking cotradiction. You keep on sewing seeds and I'll shuffle along behind you and water them and we'll leave the rest to God. :noidea:

You take care do you hear, and give your old man a Godly hug for me.

in Him,

eric.

He knows your heart, and expects only what you are able to give. He wants you to have faith in him first and formost. If you truly do, He has already paid for all of your sins, and wants you to be with Him in Heaven. If you love Him, He can use you. His plan for you may include your condition in some way, so do what you can with what you have. Don't let anyone tell you, that you are justified by how much you have done. God will, or has, saved you by His grace through faith alone, and it is not of your works, but rather His gift to you, if you truly trust Him.

Mr SE

You know, it's amazing how Satan can work overtime on our minds. It feels like a battlefield. All these things I know but the Lord showed me I need to spend much more time in His Word, so that when Satan attacks, I'll be prepared.

If I don't keep the sword SHARP, Satan will use the very scriptures I love to attack my own mind and cause fear and doubt.

I've had times when I was razor sharp. Times when I was strong in the Lord...but when I'm down (physically very ill in body), I noticed Satan likes to hit me below the belt.

Thanks for giving me the "heads up". I don't care how deep our love and conviction to Christ is....if we don't stay sharp in the Word of God, we become easy prey for the enemy's attacks.

Bless you all... and thanks for the feedback.

Thanks, Eric. You know, I found the most AWESOME website that's just blessed my heart ! I found it yesterday. It's called, "carm.org". And it's an apologist's website. It answers those REALLY hard to understand things...!!! I have struggled with confusing and "seemingly" contradictory scriptures..(I said, 'seemingly'...not really contradictory..)

They answer those things that really confuse and trouble folks..(people like myself). Sometimes we need concrete answers that make sense.

I was thrilled when I found this site because it truly explains things in a way I go, "Oh, duh...now I get it!!!"

But it reminds me that answers are found in the pages of the holy Bible...and not be hearing everyone's opinions. That tends to confuse...

I don't know "Card" at all....don't think we've ever interacted before...but I know I've been confused. I've wondered about things that seem to "not make sense".

When I went to this website, it suddenly explained things so clear, I thought, "Why didn't I see this before?"

Now, I have a peace and calm in my soul....and I know I don't need to beat myself up with guilt...I just need to love the Lord, trust Him to do His wonderful work of sanctification in my heart...and surrender, (and oh, what joy it is!).

There's no joy in fear....only fear. There's joy in obedience done in love...and Oh, how I love Jesus!...

Eric

Bad works are the sins that I committ.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

No one is going to argue with that, but just restraing from doing all those things will not bring you salvation, unless you have received Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The works that James talks about are not the works you do before you become saved, but the Godly works you do to give glory to God through your dealings with others.

Gal.5 is dealing with works of the flesh, James is talking about your spiritual works for the building up the Body of Christ. What James is saying, if you have faith, then display your faith, so others may benifit. Don't sit behind locked doors Get out and embrace the world with your new found faith. otherwise your faith will lie stagnant.

That's the way I read the book of James.

You have a lot to learn my friend.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24)

I am not saying that we do not need to repent, or that it is OK to live in sin. I am saying that we don't have to live in fear that God is going to throw us away when we screw up, even when we screw up big time. God does not work that way. I have eternal life, and I have passed from death into life, and therefore I will not come under condemnation. I have already been judged. I as judged righteous when I made Jesus the Lord of my life. I don't have to work like you, because you are trying to earn what you can only receive as a free gift. I workout my salvation not to earn heaven, but so that others might know Jesus too. I strive for my life to be a living testimony of the grace of God. You strive just to keep God's grace. I would not want to be like you.

All rigt..for the ones who don't believe this tell me which sin after I recieved Jesus in my heart can keep me out of heaven.

I really hope somebody who believes in faith AND works to be saved can answer me this question.

I did asked this before....but never got an answer from the people who do believe that.

Thank you.

I reject the doctrine of OSAS but believe Christians are secure as long as we remain in Christ.

Certain people on this board say that "I" have much to learn. WOW!!!!!

To answer your question of a sin that is not repented of, please read 1 Corinthians the 5th chapter. There is a fornicator in the midst of the chruch and Paul is exhorting them how they are to deal with him.

1 Corinthians 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
