Agreed, but that has nothing to do with my post in reply to "Your closest friend nt" that said "Adam was a man, not a tree!  Stop reinventing Scripture.  There were two trees mentioned in Eden: the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the tree of live.  Period."

Agreed. The of life is not a metaphor. It is an actual tree. Planted in an actual garden..and that's not all..

Revelation 21

King James Version

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Revelation 22

King James Version

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Jesus Christ is NOT the creation,

JESUS CHRIST IS THE CREATOR!

Revelation 1:17-18 NKJV

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet(BD) as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me(BE) and said: “Do not be afraid.(BF) I am the First and the Last.(BG) 18 I am the Living One; I was dead,(BH) and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!(BI) And I hold the keys of death and Hades.(BJ)

.Revelation 6:8 NKJV

. (O)So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him.

There is a reason why I call the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the Death tree.

I understand that the tree is called the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and there is something else that comes with it, that even if Adam or Eve touch it, they will die...the tree will do that, God said to them "do not eat from the fruit of the tree and do not touch it lest you die...

I can see your point. If you touch it,  it will kill you. If you eat it it will kill you.

However, they did not drop dead on the spot. The tree gave them knowledge of good and evil. Believing that God was a liar allowed them to eat the fruit. The punishment for disobedience at this extreme level was to lose what God gave them. To forfeit life.

In the NT Jesus tells His followers to, "let the dead bury thier own. " He is speaking about living folk who are under the penalty of death. The true walking dead. Or like it is said in prison Death row, dead men walking.

BTW, I am 79 years old, so the questions of eternal life and death are certainly in my thinking.  I was born a Jew, was Bar Mitzvah at 13, then became an atheist for quite a few years (God never answered my prayers).  Years later, a pastor used to come visit us and we had some spirited arguments about God, Jesus, religion, etc.  At age 34, I had a very severe asthma attack and was hospitalized.  She came to the hospital, read some Scripture (Matthew 11:28-30) then prayed "Jesus, heal this man".  I was immediately healed and knew Jesus was my Savior.  Three days later I received my prayer language and began speaking in tongues, something I do to this day. A while later, I was baptized in a local lake.

Shortly afterwards, my wife and I enrolled in a Bible college and began to attend a nondenominational church.  I have been a very serious Christian for 45 years and, although I have not attended church since COVID appeared, I continue to read the Bible and pray every day.

I'm trying to find the word about God that is from the old Aramaic alphabet.  It's 3 letters that spell and define Love. The center letter represents a window.  The full definition is ," Love is God revealing himself ".

Beautiful. I'll find it and show you if you haven't seen it yet.

Your testimony brought it to mind.

Beautiful Love.

Really, you think God is wasting our time putting things in the Bible that have no practical application for us? If anyone is wasting our time it is you, not God.

I never said we are under BOTH. So this is just a strawman argument. You make something up and argue against yourself.

I admit, I am failing to communicate with you. So I take full responsibility for the fact that you do not have a clue as to what I am trying to tell you.

I see no reason to continue to try to explain this to you when you have failed to understand what I am saying. It is not that important of an issue.

Fine.  Stop trying.  I understand perfectly what you're saying and I disagree with you.

You have touch some very sensitive issues and I would like to discuss them with you, because it is easy to discuss issues with you...

***one of them is "However they did not drop dead on the spot".

But God said that very moment when they touch the tree or eat from the fruit of it they will die.

First I have to acknowledge that when this happened the moment Adam and Eve ate from the fruit of the tree the Lord was not around, and later on when he came to the Garden where they were He found them in the knowledge of good and evil...and in death. They had be stung by the sting of death...what God told them it will happen to them God found them to be in what he had warn them, they had died...before the Lord came to the place where they were it had happened...God did not Judge them for that to give them punishment for that... their Judgment for their disobedience it came later on when he expelled from the Garden and he said to them because of what you have done..the ground is cursed because of you...and so on..

Our quest is to understand what is it about that "you will die " because that had already happened to them but we do not see it, it has not become obvious to us...

We can understand and began to connect to that when Abel died.

When he lived he freely had fellowship with God and God was very fond of him...

But this is the key to understand what to die was all about...

At the time of Abel's death, God and Abel got separated...

This is the point where we can see what it means to mean that you will die...

This happened to Adam, at the time of him eating the fruit...and we see it in Abel because Abel was the first one to die...

Abel got that state of death by Inheritance from Adam..

Adam's seed had death in it.

Death travel from Adam to his children by procreation...and so on.

Till the time when Jesus Christ died on the Cross...when the whole world was set free from that curse...from everyone who lived and had died before the Cross and anyone there after...

Do you care to discuss any one of those points...

The Judgment is not they will die. It is they will surely die. God said, "..in the day.." TO God 1,000 years ls a day. Adam died less than 1000 years.

They were not expelled from the Garden because of 'what they done'.. they were expelled to keep them from eating of the tree of life and live forever.

Gen 3:22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

The ground was not cursed because of 'the disobedience to God. It was cursed because Adam listened to his wife rather than God.

Gen 3:17-

To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’

“Cursed is the ground because of you..."

This is not so simple as you make sound...I do not say that it could not be simple if we want to make it simple..yes it could make it simple, but what could have happened if Adam did not love Eve and he was looking for an opportunity to part with her...He could have said "as for me and my self we will obey God" and they will be Eve knowing good, and Adam not knowing what is good and evil.

Eve in the Captivity of death and Adam still in the way he was created...

They will remain in the Garden and they will have children...

Eve will teach her children to understand what is good and evil, without knowing what good and evil is...

The children taught by their mother what is good and evil, the question is alive, " can the children be taught what is good and evil without eating from the fruit of that tree..

It could have been a chaotic situation...

The ground could be not curse because Adam did not disobeyed God..

God only told them that if the touch the tree or eat from the fruit of the tree that they will die...

The Serpent was the one who informed Eve, that they will not die and that their eyes will open knowing good and evil, the Servant told that to EVE, and it is EVE who develop the desired to have to want to have that knowledge, it was about her, and after she ate from the fruit and in knowledge of good and evil she gave Adam to eat from the fruit...

SHE GAVE TO ADAM TO EAT...

You believe and you are instantly saved and begin to lead a new life.  Your sin is no longer counted against you.

Honestly have you never sin anymore ?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
