Matthew 7:22 (KJV)[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

That is not what that is saying at all (go back reread) "Depart from me, Ye that Work Iniquity"  Sin was the issue.  Yes, you can go to church, be in ministry, do all sorts of "good works", say Jesus is your Lord, but if your life is filled unrepentant sin, you will not enter the Kingdom of God.

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. - 1Jo 2:3-4

"I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." - Luk 13:5

This judgment is also called the Judgment Seat of Christ. All believers will have to give account of ourselves. It is a judgment of rewards for how faithful we were to Christ while in these bodies while we were on earth. This judgment doesn't determine salvation because all those in this judgment are true believers in Jesus Christ. God will not judge our sins. There will be different degrees of rewards.

2 Timothy 2:5

And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

Nice posting. It's a subject most Christians shy away from. Perhaps a closer examination of the two critical scriptures will give some light.

Ro 14:9–12 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

2 Co 5:9–11 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

The Book of Romans was written because ex-Jews, still clinging to the Law after conversion, would have no relations with the ex-Gentile*. This is devastating to the Church which is supposed to display, by its unity, that Christ has come, and that He came at the command of the Father. The issue in Rome was that those who face judgment had turned themselves into judges. And, as often is the case, BOTH were wrong.  Verse 11 shines the light. Those who would be judge are those who will be forced to bend the knee. Verse 12 gives more light. While verse 11 refers to ALL men, angels and demons in the Millennium, whether in heaven, on earth or in Hades, verse 12 starts with "every one of US". That is, it narrows the focus to just Christians. Paul had to do this because the words "judgment Seat of Christ" is "Bema" and not "Thronos". The judgement of the Church is first, then comes Israel and then the rest of the Nations. The Bema was a traveling throne that a sovereign, or his representative, used when visiting far places. The Church is to be raptured, so they face a traveling Seat. But Israel, a nation, and the rest of the Nations are judged at the "Throne of His glory" - a fixed throne from heaven and set up on earth.

2nd Corinthians gives more information. But it is the same "Bema". Verse 9 sets the pace. "for we LABOR". The Bema is for LABORERS. But the "we" makes them Christians. Now, a new thing appears - "are we accepted of Him - OR NOT". All our lives we are accepted by Him until the rapture. The rapture changes the age. Grace is over. It is now a renewal of WORKS. Our works are set at zero at our conversion. "ALL things are new - the past is wiped" (2nd Cor.5:17). But a new counter starts counting. The "body" makes the Church and the body is the visible testimony of an invisible but indwelling God. Did you curse? Or did you fall down drunk? Did you strike or speak evil? It is what was visible? But we have an indication of the flavor of that day - TERROR! This will be not day of "Gentle Jesus meek and mild". It will be a day of trembling knees and loose bowels. You will not be accused. The glorious judge will sit silently. YOU HAVE TO SPEAK! You have to relate your works. And thus Romans 14:10 is manifested. YOU wanted to be a judge? NOW JUDGE YOURSELF!

But what is "good" and what is "bad". Matthew 7:21-23 says it all. On THAT DAY your works will be decided on ONE SINGLE FACTOR. Did you do anything, or nothing, ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL! The work will be judged and the command behind it will be judged. Did you cast out a demon? Yes? Did your father in heaven order it? NO? Your work was not iniquity but YOU are a worker of iniquity - you rebel! Did you raise the dead? Yes? Was it commanded by God in that instance? "Well ... I'm not sure". Did you give half your estate to the poor? Yes? Was is COMMANDED of you? And you will hear the dreaded words ...

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mt 24:49–51)

Does it say "UN-BIRTH him? Does it say "off to the Lake of Fire"? Does it call him anything but "servant"? Is Christ's work for the servant's sins undone? Is he removed from the Church? Is he "UN-son" of God? Is his eternal life extinguished? NO! But is he CHASTISED? Yes! Does he suffer loss of fellowship with Christ? Yes! Is he disgraced by his sojourn with the hypocrites? Yes! Will he be "cut asunder" in public? Yes! Will he deeply regret his rebellion? Yes, with weeping and gnashing of teeth. For how long? Until Christ wipes away his tears at the end of the Millennium! (Rev.21:4).

Truly ... Terror!

* I use this term because in the New Man, which is made from the "two" (Eph.2:15) is a totally new creation and the past is washed away. Thus, ethnicity is moot.

Does not matter what they think, only matters what scriptures says.  Living a hypocritical double life of saint and sinner will end with you hearing, "Depart from me you, worker of iniquity, I never knew you."

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive {work fervently} to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out. - Luk 13:23-28 KJV

Titus 3:5 (KJV)

[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

[6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

[7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

[8] This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

I agree, you can not live a life of saint and sinner. Although everyone sins everyday but we should not sin intentionally.

I agreed, we do make mistakes at times.  This is where we repent seek forgiveness press on.  God is faithful to forgive us if we sincerely repent.  It is when we get that attitude that God does not care if I sin, why even try to overcome my sins.  This is where we go from living for God to a reprobate.

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. - Tit 1:16 KJV

It is when we mock God or take advantage of His forgiveness that we are in trouble.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
