There are plenty of GOP members that seem to be more interested in obtaining more wealth than they are at advancing the interests of ordinary Americans.

Yes. And it's not to say that there aren't those in DC that are believers and are doing their best to see the Lord's will is done (and not just their personal opinion of what that is).

Talking with my wife yesterday about how difficult it is when one goes to Washington: 1) Pressure from lobbyists and PACs;  2) Pressure from the party;  3) Pressure to get reelected (telling everybody what they want to hear & giving them goodies from the federal coffers)

If you mean this latest mid-term elections in the US 2022, yeah they (the Democrats) cheated.  It's not just that they like to cheat, they must cheat because they are in the minority, and even they cannot stand their own polices.  

As far as evidence look at the real-time voting statistics of something like the Pennsylvania governors race.  You will see the blue leap up a few times, first 90,000 votes, then another 63,000, then they take about 90,000 votes away which is the ultimate sign of manipulation.  Sure, 90,000 people showed up and took their votes back.   

There are all kinds of charts doing this magic jumping around.

What about the Arizona governor's race where the machinery would not work in Republican dominated areas, so they were just not counted, so the Democrat won, and was coincidentally the Democrat in charge of the election?

What broke the camel's back in my belief in Donald Trump is something he said on Twitter before he was removed from that site.

Apparently, there were two senators - a man and a woman - who were having an affair with one another.  I don't remember who they were.  Both were married to someone else.  Trump took great glee in "outing" them and mocking them.  All I could do was to ask myself two questions?

• Is this something that a President of the United States of America should be discussing ANYWHERE - let alone on Twitter?
• How many women has HE had sex with that he was not married to?  How many times did HE commit adultery?  We know he cheated on his first wife with his second wife.  What about his third wife?  Has he cheated on her?  We have absolutely no proof.  But his track record is not good.

I view Trump as childish.  He had his "toys" taken away from him and he will whine and complain and cause disruption unti he gets them back.

He was the most divisive president in my lifetime.  Even worse than Obama and I thought Obama was the worst.

And why on EARTH did he - before the midterms -  announce that he had a "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" this week confounding the "red wave" we were expecting because of Joe Biden's incompetency?

That put the left in a frenzy and part of the right.  The left hates Donald Trump more than the right hates Joe Biden.  And that's what American politics is right now.  Just a big hate contest.  Who can hate the most - us or them.

No one is interested in grace, being/acting presidential, uniting the nation into that "one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all", presidential competency, a strong nation, or anything else that the White House SHOULD represent.

Yes, there will be pro-lifers vs. pro-abortionists and people who support and those who oppose gay marriage.  I have all kinds of people in my life - those with whom I agree and those with whom I disagree.

But can we not be civil to one another?  Can we not somehow work together to some degree to improve things?  America is being ripped apart by hate, ignorance, lies, gossip, and selfishness.

If it comes down to Biden and Trump being our only two choices - I just don't know what I am going to do.  I don't want EITHER man in office.
