If Peter founded the Roman Catholic Church and if the RCC is the TRUE church of God, then can it be said that churches created by other apostles were/are NOT of God?

What are your thoughts?

Well,  you did ask what my thoughts were.

Is this the first post you have ever made on that Catholic forum?  If not, your other posts there may give some insights as to how they perceive you.

I certainly don't want you to leave here. Please don't.

I'll be honest as a non-Catholic.  The question you posed is a little bit snarky.

It's obvious by the question you posed that you don't believe Peter established the RCC, you don't believe the RCC is the true church, and you believe that other Christians churches ARE of God.

I believe as you do.

But I would have posed the question differently.  "What do you believe about early churches not established by Peter?"

Understand that they banned you because they felt challenged in a negative way.  It's the owners' rights to ban whomever they please.

@Jayne In the end it seems all to be about whether ppl appeal to Scripture rather than tradition, like, according to whom? did this of that happen, is this or that true, etc.

In reading Matthew 16:18 from your post and the verses below, it sounds like Jesus was referring to Peter as being a part of the rock and NOT the rock itself.  But maybe I am misunderstanding.  :noidea:

1Peter 2:4  As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,
5  you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6  For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

Shalom, Not of the World.

One fact that will help, I believe. The Hebrew word for the "rock" there is Keefa' in Hebrew. This was transliterated into Greek and then into English as "Cephas."

John 1:35-42 (KJV)

35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith,

"Behold the Lamb of God!"

37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them,

"What seek ye?"

They said unto him,

"Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, "Master,") where dwellest thou?"

39 He saith unto them,

"Come and see."

They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. 40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him,

"We have found the Messias, (which is, being interpreted, "the Christ")!"

42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said,

"Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas," (which is by interpretation, "A stone").

Strong's Concordance gives us this information:

2786 Keefas (Képhas) Κηφᾶς (kay-fas'). Of Chaldee origin (compare keph); the Rock; Cephas (i.e. Kepha), a surname of Peter:
-- Cephas.

3710 Keef (Keph) (כֵּף) (kafe).  From kaphaph; a hollow rock:
-- rock.

He wasn't just calling him a "rock"; He was calling Peter a GEODE! A geode is hard and plain on the outside, but crack it open and it's a wealth of beautiful crystals inside! Some even contain precious stones, like amethyst (which happens to be the 12th foundation in the New Jerusalem, and the foundations have the names of the apostles within them)! Coincidence? Not likely, I believe.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
