Not everyone will respond to Christ’s calling—only the Elect will respond, and what a response it will be; more than likely, they will run into the arms of Jesus.

Many are called, few are chosen..... A process of Salvation is in order,....

Called, there is a purpose of that Calling

No,it is not the " elect" that respond ---- we are "Elect" in Christ,He is " Elect"- the Chosen One.

MANY are Called- to perform a Service.... There are many pages of posts describing that we are not Chosen to Salvation..... I hope this is not spiraling downward into the predestination Topic....

We are not "s"elected ,it is in Christ we are the Elect 👍

Yes, many are called, but few are chosen.  The Elect have already been justified, remember?

What do you have against a predestination topic, Kwik?  Is it not written in Ephesians 1:5?

A follower of Christ is a sheep.

A shepherd of sheep is a gift from God.

Ephesians 4:8 Therefore He says:

“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets,

some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry,

for the edifying of the body of Christ,

13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge

of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature

of the fullness of Christ.

Find what was missing from the quote in verse 8

Psalm 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high,

thou hast led captivity captive:

thou hast received gifts for men; yea,

for the rebellious also,

that the Lord God might dwell among them.

The ministry of the elect shepherd the

"rebellious sheep" as they are made into a

functioning part of the body of Christ.

I have heard ministers literally say "I won't deal

with a rebellious spirit, they mess up my anointing."

!!!!Why is the Anointing given????

That might also be a very good discussion - I've heard some confused regarding anointing, which is not the same as Indwelling.....

Indwelled & Anointed with with a specific Gift

no Anointing

Anointed,not Indwelled

Anointed for a time......

Indwelled

Hmmm,lol

Sound like fun?❤️

I don't have anything against it but it is not the Topic here- I believe I made that clear in the OP regarding what this Study is about

You can start a Thread on Ephesians 1:5 and I'd be glad to discuss the full context of Ephesians Chapter 1..... I'm not a pick n choose a verse to support a doctrine kinda gal, that is why I much prefer studying and rightly Dividing His Word

Romans 8:28 speaks to the called,

(as it is written) assuring them that all is ordained by God

for our transformation into the image of His Son.

The called must have the faith to go through every trial,

every chastisement, every discipline, every persecution, or

they will turn away. Romans 8:28=sure mercies of David.

This is the path from called, to chosen, to faithful.

God is Never out of order! It's a process ....I do love the Book of Romans,in Christ,in Christ,in Christ

I'm always invigorated that I can do ALL things in Christ Who Strengthens me when I'm in Romans ..   it's sooooo Encouraging,Uplifting and Edifying- and very very CLEAR

I thought this topic was about Election, and that’s what predestination is all about, Kwik.

Firstly, no one knows whether or not they’re Elect.

1 Thessalonians 1:4 knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.

How could Paul speak so confidently about the election of the

Thessalonians? He explains in the narrative.

6 And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having

received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

7 so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia

who believe.

8 For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth,

not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place.

Your faith toward God has gone out,

so that we do not need to say anything.

The called know they are chosen (the elect), when they

are fully established in God's Purpose, not only for themselves,

but a part of the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit is operating

through them with some sort of gift for the All. This is throughout

the apostolic message.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world,

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that you may prove what is that good and acceptable

and perfect will of God.

The Elect have come to know and understand God's Will,

and have received and acknowledged the measure of faith

by which they are established. Romans 12:3

Continuing in 1 Thessalonians @kwikphilly, it was inevitable

that the Thessalonians and the Election threads would intersect.

13 For this reason we also thank God without ceasing,

because when you received the word of God which you

heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men,

but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively

works in you who believe.

14 For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God

which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the

same things from your own countrymen, just as they did

from the Judeans.

Those who receive the Gospel in the midst of persecution

prove their election. This was so in the beginning, and will

be in the end.

Revelation 7:

13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me,

“Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”

14 And I said to him, “Sir, you know.”

So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of

the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made

them white in the blood of the Lamb.

In Romans 11, the elect is used in a very specific way:

7 What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks;

but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

The Elect here are Jews not blinded to the Truth by Isaiah 6.

Their purpose is for the sake of the Gentiles.

11 I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall?

Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them

to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.

12 Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their

failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!

13 For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle

to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,

14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those

who are my flesh and save some of them.

15 For if their being cast away is the

reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance

be but life from the dead?

Gentiles are not referred to as the Elect in this narrative.

They have just become the called, and the apostles are

clarifying God's Purpose.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
