If you have to make up new and completely undetectable laws of nature for which there is no evidence whatever, to make your imagined events work, isn't that a pretty good clue for you?

To claim we know nature was the same or will be in the millennium is making stuff up.

He said that Adam had become like him.

You seem to be conflating what Satan said with what God said!

Quote

But as you know, scripture never said that Adam was immortal, and God acknowledges that he was not.

Only if they choose to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil could and would they die. That means they would not die if they did not.

God said this

Genesis 2:17

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Satan said this

Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent -- said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Genesis 3:5

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

You see it was Satan that said they would be as gods, NOT God.

To claim that nature was different is to make up fairy tales to fit your wishes.    There's no scriptural basis for your new doctrines, nor is there any evidence to support them.   But the evidence does show that nature worked the same way in the past.   Would you like to learn how we know?

No, that's wrong.   For example, we know that the speed of light hasn't changed significantly for billions of years.   Would you like to know how we know that?

To claim we believe in the bible while denying the realities it records in the past is delusion. To deny that science cannot and does not know either the state of the future or past is delusional.

I know how much you want scripture to say that Adam was immortal.   But it doesn't.   Find a way to accept God's word as it is.

Lurkers here is who said that, actually

Genesis 3:5

No one said the speed of light changed. The speed light can travel depends on the nature of the medium it exists in.

I believe Him.   You should, too.   Your problem is you don't appreciate how devious satan can be.   It is his specialty to deceive by telling part of the truth.   You see, satan is a Biblical literalist.   Adam and Eve did not die physically that day.    They died spiritually.  But satan dishonestly interpreted it as a physical death to deceive them.

He still does that.   And it works surprisingly well for him.

Unlike Chronicles & Kings, more of a "historical footnote" ( in a form of a Book ) on Jehu more than a testimony of God's dealings with Jehu.

Shalom, ChristB4us.

It's also important because Jehu was one one the few kings of Israel (the Northern Kingdom) during the reign of Shalmanezer III of Ashuwr (Assyria) mentioned in the records of Assyria.

I personally LIKE what was said of Jehu:

King Jehu was a man who had served for years as a commander in the army of Israel (2 Kings 9:5), and was infamous for the ferocious way he drove his chariot (2 Kings 9:20). One day, while in a council of war, a prophet arrived and anointed him king of Israel, and gave him a message from the Lord: “You shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, so that I may avenge on Jezebel the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD” (2 Kings 9:7). In the bloody coup that followed, Jehu killed Joram, king of Israel, Ahaziah, king of Judah, and Jezebel, the Queen mother. He further arranged for the murder of “all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, all his great men and his close friends and his priests, until he left him none remaining.” (2 Kings 10:11). Then, Jehu deceitfully called for a solemn assembly for Baal, at which he slaughtered the prophets, priests and worshipers, and demolished the temple of Baal. (2 Kings 10:25-27). Having secured the throne, Jehu reigned over Israel for 28 years from ca. 841-814 BC.

THAT'S "a man after God's own heart!"

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
