If you see a person start a mass shooting and you carry a gun, what will you do ?

1. Tell him Jesus loves him and he needs to repent (a chance to testify).

2. Run away (let the death bury the death).

3. Risk your life in gun battle to save people.

4. Pray to God that everything will be ok. 

5. Surrender (God's Will be done)

6. Or else..... 

In America i read that more and more lunatic share their bullets .......

Just want to know your opinion.

I'm curious. In Indonesia, citizens aren't permitted to own nor carry firearms. So, perhaps you ought to provide us with your own answer this to question first, @R. Hartono.

I will try to strike with stone like Moses killed the Egyptian. But it may not happen like that as i may run to the hill. Not sure.

I don't know about America, but here in England there are very few stones etc lying around the street.

We all like to think that we are a hero, that we can beat the odds and overcome an armed criminal.

A recent case in here a boxing champion,  Amir Khan was robbed at gunpoint, he valued his life over a £70,000 watch.

 

The shock and fear is more likely to cause us to run or hide.

First thing I'd not do is discuss on the internet ahead of time what I would do! Only a fool would do that.

That said, as a personal observation  and to clarify: America, the USA, is not one entity, it is 50 (or 57 according to a former USA president that had a little trouble evidently with math.) separate entities, sovereign States, stretched out over a vast  and varied terrain. The USA is not one people,not a tribe, not one or two religious groups. It consists of more peoples  of more religions than can be discussed in detail one one short post.

Right now some 17 or more sovereign States are allowing open carry of weapons, firearms. long guns, pistols. knives, by anyone at all. While other states either limit or prohibit  such weaponry almost totally.

Yet each and every State is having an uptick of terrible lawlessness with use of  weapons resulting in death for many individuals. Some dead are th ebad guys others are the innocents.

 I conclude from this present condition that something else is happening something that is NOT going to be cured by a gun nor by taking away a gun. What might that something else be? I suggest it i sthe lack of repentance by individuals from their own sin against God. That leaves the individual vulnerable and the sovereign States corporately vulnerable to  all sort of evil doing.

The evil cares not that the good guy has a gun too! They will shoot it out over their being caught at minor crimes that would have very little punishment if any  beyond  strong supervision  as a free person.

So yes turning to God in prayer for repentance of a nation of sovereign States many peoples is, in my opinion, the answer, more so than armoring up on rapid fire high velocity weaponry made to kill  other living things. And certainly not to be found by chopping off peoples hands and arms nor poking out  of eyes.

When I say  it is a fool that states ahead of time what they would do I think that also pertains to local police chiefs that encourage  home owners to shot to kill trespassers on one's property.

Why? Because that encouragement becomes a license to kill, and sets up the bad guy, the trespasser, to know to go all out and kill first if they can the owner of a property at the owner's residence. There is  now  many a nightly shootout as result of this bravado talk.

My own formerly quiet city now has reports of shootouts occurring nightly! Yet there is no call for repentance  from sin against God. Instead there is active call to be tolerant of all that is sin against God.

Is it any wonder God may have turned us within the USA all over to our own strong delusions even as a nation? And what of the world in general is it different, or is it that all sin against God is more than tolerated it is uplifted aas needing special protection status?

In this situation you don't simply fight criminal but are you trying to save innocent people.

Sorry but I don't buy it. Least as has been shared here I see  it as the desire to be the one's in control, doing so under the guise of personal revenge with the last one standing being the victor. 

Doesn't win anyone over it just destroys. I think I'd rather read, study, and pray over learning , learning how the apostles and early disciples of my Lord and savior Jesus reacted to  what was really awful persecution and attack leading to their own death(s). Then ask God for that same faithfulness to his Glory to be exhibited within me personally.
