Anyone hear the story about the 6yr old that shot their teacher( didn't like her) ...somebody told me about it maybe last month?

Then I'm told the teacher checked the kids back pack and didn't see it,they supposedly had metal detectors at the school and the teacher checked the kids back pack--- I'm pretty sure I didn't get the facts right- but the teacher survived

How does a 6yr old get a gun? What kind of parents sends a 6yr old off to school and doesn't know a gun is missing or what's in the kids packpack?

Anybody know the facts of this story( or fake news facts?)

Who goes to Miami for spring break?Nobody even comes to Ft Lauderdale anymore?South Florida has long since seen any spring breakers for many many years. ..it's very sad that these couple of vacationers decided to go to Miami for their vacation and we're killed ,unfortunately it happens all too often down there all through the year.    I can assure you it's not party town .....the beaches are  thebeautiful, the weather is great but not the place kids flock to( come on vacation/leave on probation as the saying goes)

Wrong place, wrong time or maybe the Appointed time- I just don't know.So where exactly did this happen?Miami Beach is kind of vague

Exactly. It is not college students who are partying there. It is the locals, escapees from the "neighborhoods" who are there. You can bet that the guns are not legal.

Yes it is unfortunately a  real life event. The  six year old had threatened other kids and his teacher. The teacher feared for her life, reported it to her  principal, the principal ignored it and her. She got shot. No charges are filed against the student , nor his family . Teacher filing lawsuit(s).

https://abcnews.go.com/US/school-board-decide-fate-superintendent-after-6-year/story?id=96654019

But hey everybody should have a gun then there would be far fewer shootings- somehow that doesn't seem to be working out all that well. Is a teacher to have a shootout with a six year old? It's getting crazy out there.

So not sure where you got that but have you been to Miami in the last decade?Cubans are not the only illegals we have in Florida, since " the end of any safe borders" they come from everywhere and flock down to Miami where one can disappear from radar easily enough

On Florida's the other coast I have had illegals from Cuba as neighbors on and off for decades. My own family has Cuban heritage (I am not Cuban).  People presumably illegals are all over the streets here. Gads without them who would clean the buildings, mow the lawns, wash the cars and PU trucks? I have to admit ol' Nancy Pelosi was right about that one.

I have hired individuals from all over the world over the many years, always doing exactly as the law demands of me! I  also sought out legal advice from immigration attorneys for my own criminal and civil protection.  If I messed up procedures  by pushing for real documents instead of faked ones I was quite likely to be sued,  and lose the lawsuit, by an illegal for violating their rights.

I have had to accept many a fradulent document and wait for the federal government to  tell me when to  fire a person  for having illegal documentation. It is a crazy game our federal government makes us play.

Nonetheless I have also had many an excellent worker become a good friend to the day the feds did decide hey it is time for this one or that one to be fired as of today. It is as I call it nutso.

Kind of an interesting thought- if we go to no gun controls in this State and everyone may carry openly without any permit, how is a gun to be illegal?

So far the police have not identified whether the fatality is a local or a spring breaker. I presume the mayor knows whether they have spring breakers there or not and whether their problem is with Spring  breakers or not. He called them Spring breakers.

The very few interviews  of the  breakers there  I have heard on tv news interviews didn't leave me with the impression they were local gang bangers, nor did they have any accent or dialect that would indicate they were from Cuba.

Anyway  we have a problem and the problem is us Us as a nation that wants fun from all the wrong sources and wants to play at all the wrong games. There is a tremendous need for the young adults to focus on goals real productive goals and not to be used as useful idiots. May it be that many will be turned about to God, come to know and lean on the faith of our Lord and savior Jesus.

So much of the world is in transit, all emigrating out of one terrible situation and coming to another one. It is oh so sad a situation we are in today. May God show mercy.

Interesting, perhaps you did not get the best advice from those attorneys - since the State of Florida is a no hire/ no fire State(meaning you need to give no reason for not hiring and need give no reason to fire anyone- somebody would not really get anywhere trying to sue anyone for violating their rights, unless the person is a total idiot that hired or fired and straight out gave such reasons!!!! Rofl

I never found myself wondering about anyone's documents or if they were " illegals" when it came to hiring anyone- I've always hired certified, licensed people or people with good referrals from friends,I really would not hire anyone who didn't speak English because that wouldn't work for me if there's no communication - how in the world would you tell them what is expected? So I don't care about color, race or ethnicity but I do need to be understood and to understand when work is needed.

Anyway,I think we have vastly different perspectives concerning current affairs and how we view our society, especially regarding this fine State but we can both agree there's a whole lot of cuckoo out there and the desperate need for the Word of God

Let us pray,indeed

That is actually the case in a couple of places and Switzerland.   Is a teacher supposed to have a shootout with a six year old.    Nah she's just supposed to stand there and let the six year old kill her.

but, the gun isn't the problem, the kid is the problem and the parents that don't keep their guns out of the hands of kids.

But its always the gun isn't it.

The first mass school killing happened in 1923.   Guy got upset and took several cases of dynamite and blew up the school.   Killed 38 children and 6 adults.

you don't need guns to kill people.

A guy over in Japan in 2016 took a big old knife and killed 19 people and wounded 26.  Guess we should get rid of knives too.

I think we have vastly different perspectives

We do indeed.  But that is okay.

BTW  There was footage from Miami Beach again tonight. More nonsense from the non existent spring breakers some 300 now arrested. But hey that  was footage  shown by Tampa newscasters, what would they know?

Made the mistake of watching 11 PM local news  tonight, probably won't sleep all that well after that.  - Our own mayor quit yesterday in protest of the deficit spending by our city council - the new 400 square foot apartments  being built right now at Tampa will rent for $2400 a month, a bargain  for those that can't afford a two bedroom unit for $4000 to $7000 a month.

(Say what?! 400 square foot? They have drop down from the ceiling beds and sliding walls to make a kitchen and a study space. Wonderful.)  -And joy of joys there is a new bar and restaurant opening every day in Tampa's booming areas, attracting the newly arriving 25 to 35 year olds.  End of news at 11PM. No mention of any new church space.

Guess I could return to Los Angeles after all these years and join the people living on the sidewalks having free parking provided me  if I live in my car plus free services that add up to a cost of $100,000 per person per year.  That was also part of the joyous 11PM news. Gad's SoCal was kind of a paradise  back in the late 1950's into the 1960's. What happened? I was there back then and I haven't a solid clue.

I'd go to sleep tonight but for the sound of all the sirens going. Between police, fire engines, and ambulances, and the close proximity to two major hospitals it is  a pretty busy night in this tourist season / spring break  here on the sedate quiet gulf suncoast.

Surely this can't be real life-

Thinking more about years past  in Los Angeles; I do remember the fight to retain zoning for churches in downtown Los Angeles so  many many years ago, back when Dr. E.V. Hill was on the LA city council. That fight was lost.  I think I see it happening at Tampa now with  just cubicles to live in and bars to frequent till 3 AM

Ah the good life,- is the claim.

I am about to wave the white flag,  listen to my county gal Texan wife's plea and make our little  North Carolina retreat  our full time living place. (She just got back up too,  too many sirens to sleep). Thing is N.C. is filling up with  old geezers from Florida too, all seeking  the same rural quiet. How is that going to work out? LOL

Life is what it is,  have to refocus on the good stuff in the midst of all this rather bizarre circumstance- and never watch the 11PM news again.

Maranatha!

Maranatha!

Oh my goodness, haven't heard that name in a long time- E.V.Hill,one of my all time favorite Preachers,I used to run from wherever I was to the TV when he was on TBN,back when Jan & Paul had a network worth watching, one great sermon after the next-24/7.... I miss it .Now you get Rubin Jordan ads for colligen,Car Shield commercials and green spray for lawns--- oh,lest we forget leaving your " legacy" to TBN! It's absurd. ..

Well, everything changes, doesn't it- out with the old & in with the new ...Yeah,no idea where Tampa newscasters are filming this big " spring break" but yesterday when I was in South Beach they must have all been hiding somewhere, beach was no different than it is in June & July- packed,no parking and very uninviting-many homosexuals and pda, ugh!

Anyway with 900 people per day migrating to Florida I want out but I'm stuck here, takes me 20 minutes to get to Publix 3 blocks away with the traffic and they are not on vacation, they are here to stay so it's a nightmare! Talk about noise, what happened to my little slice of Heaven - those days are gone.

You best get to NC if you have the opportunity,if I had that option all anyone would see of me would be elbow, soles of my feet and my ponytail- in a heartbeat!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
